Loved this room, the staff, the early check in they gifted me, and the huge private balcony. Only thing was the floors were dirty (TONS of dust). They need to mop better and get all the crevices.

I loved my stay at Hotel Balear. The hotel itself (decor and architecture, fixtures) reminded me in the best way of childhood experiences in European hotels in the 70s and 80s. Everything was clean, nice, well kept, and comfortable (I slept very well). The single room was large, with plenty of storage space if one were staying for a week or so. I loved the hallways of the building and made a point of taking the stairs to look at the artwork. Breakfast was good, with many options. I especially appreciated the reading room/library/lounge on the second floor, as a pleasant place to escape to write in a journal or compose a postcard, or just read or simply sit on a comfortable sofa and look out the window.
The location is great if you're in Palma for the beach! Plenty of good restaurants and takeaway places around; noise was not an issue; the hotel is easy to find and has the front desk staffed 24 hrs.

Super close to the beach and available on a pinch for a 1 night lay over. The bed was memory foam so it retains some heat and the ac was at max with not enough impact for my comfort.
One extra odd blast from the past was using an actual key to enter my room. You had to deposit the key at the front desk to leave every time and collect it up returning. Inconvenient and the room was hella hot when I returned as the key was attached to the key fob for electricity.

Welcoming man at reception area when we arrived at 1230am. Room was tight and very hot- took 2 hours to get temp down so we could sleep
It's close to the beach and they serve breakfast . No business center and they do not store luggage.

Close to the airport (10min by taxi). Very basic room (though it was huge). No drinking water in the room and quite dusty feeling. Lots of stairs to get to the room and not easy to find certain rooms! Quite pricey for what it is.

Upon our arrival we were met with the front desk. She was very kind and helpful.
Once we exited the elevator on our floor, we began to see the lack of care this building receives. The floor was dirty, dead bugs were present on the floor.
We entered our room and were taken-back by the dirty walls, stains on the furniture, and two moths flying around the room. It also had a damp old smell.
We were honestly grossed out and didn’t even want to sleep on the bed. My wife refused to get under the blankets and just laid on top.
Overall, I would not recommend staying here. This is a far cry from an 8.2 rating and is more akin to a shady motel.
