Friendly staff on reception. Room clean and comfortable. Very good position for visiting cathedral and Plaza Mayor.

The reception team were very welcoming and the hotel was a short distance from the sights to visit. If we were ever in this area again would not hesitate to stay here again. Cleanliness scores a 4 only because the bin in the bathroom had not been emptied from the previous guests visit.

Excellent hotel top location and facilities

The staff were pleasant and efficient getting us checked in and out. The building was quiet for sleeping and the pool provided a cool & refreshing respite from the extremely hot weather.

Great location: a quick walk to the cathedral. Easy parking on the street, good breakfast and great value for the whole stay.

The staff were amazing, great professionalism… the attention, the atmosphere were impeccable… And the city is wonderful . I highly recommend this place to stay and this city.

It was OK, but has a star too many. HAving 4 starts in Spain you expect more, much more, there are much better hotels with the same star rating and same price point.

The location is perfect! It's right across the Roman Bridge (footbridge) from the old city. So, you can easily find this hotel, avoid getting into the busy part of town, park for FREE and walk a very short distance to visit the old city. It was so perfect, location-wise and it was also very comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed our visit at this hotel!

It’s proximity to downtown Salamanca made the Hotel Puente Romano an ideal location to stay, and it was just far enough away from the major attractions so that I wasn’t bothered by much noise from the all the activity. Checking in was easy; I had made my reservation online the evening before, and they had it waiting for me when I arrived the following afternoon. My interactions with the staff were all positive, as they were friendly and helpful about answering my questions. The room I had was a comfortable size, tidy and even had a small balcony attached to it. I was very pleased to find that the bathroom was thoroughly cleaned and everything operated properly. The water I drank from the tap tasted fine, although it’s always a little warm (due to the high temperatures in the summer). My balcony door had a metal barrier that was broken, so I could only raise it around two feet from the ground. Like most businesses in Salamanca, the hotel doesn’t have AC for the rooms, so I really would have liked to open the door cover entirely to cool my room out during the night. I was also a little surprised to see the pool was closed, despite it being over one hundred degrees and summertime. Nevertheless, I’m glad to say that my dislikes are quit few, and they didn’t really detract that much from the overall experience I had.

Great location. A nice walk across the Roman bridge to the old town. There isn't much around the hotel. One good meaty restaurant a couple blocks away. Other than that, eat your meals across the bridge.

Stayed for 3 nights. Location across the Roman bridge from the old town was not bad. Local area did not have many restaurants, and the ones around were expensive. Chose hotel in part for included parking, which turned out to be on the street or at the gas station across the street. Desk clerks tried to be helpful, but we did not find them very informative. Room faced the back street and was quiet enough. However, the heaters were programmed to turn on automatically every morning and every evening for two hours. As there was no AC in the room, it could get quite warm. We tried leaving the windows open when we left for the day to help the room stay cooler, but routinely found the cleaning staff had closed the room up again during servicing. We could not get the safe in the room to work. Breakfast was not included and was 8.50€ pp per day. We did pay one day and found the buffet very nice. If I were to stay in Salamanca again, I would rather stay in a hotel just outside of the old town and on the same side of the river. This hotel was all right, but there are probably similarly-priced places closer to the attractions of the old town and university.

Convenient for Salamanca centre whilst being easy to drive to. Hotel is more imposing inside than it appears from the outside. Has a typical Spanish grandeur but would benefit from a little updating in places. Having said that we enjoyed our stay and would return without a second thought. For us the hotel was good value.

We stayed at the Puente Romano for 3 days. The hotel is a short walk from the city and that suited us. The staff were friendly and recommended us some very good restaurants.

This is our standard stop-over place in Salamanca for many reasons. Good location (8 minutes walk to the town centre, over the lovely Roman Bridge. Great service. Decent room. Breakfast both good and good value. Great price.

We’ve stayed here a few times and have always enjoyed it. Pleasant staff, clean & comfortable rooms, very convenient to the old town. Good breakfast and the parking is easy and convenient - we’re happy to pay for the secure parking. The hotel faces a road but the traffic basically finishes at a reasonable hour.
