Hotel Santiago de León

I chose this hotel specifically for its swimming pool as I was traveling with children. It was very disappointing to find that the swimming pool was closed. This should be notified when you are booking.

Thanks to the receptionist's attitude everything took off well. It is hard to imagine that a hotel built in 2006 has rooms with no sound insulation. You could hear your neighbour whenever you desired so.

I am amazed that a 4 starts Hotel can have such an unusable WiFi. I stayed at the hotel for almost two weeks and practically gave up trying to use my computer. All the front desk could do was to reset the router which fixed nothing!!!

Estoy confundido como un hotel de **** tiene un WiFi patético e inusable con lo lento que es. Lo único que saben hacer es resetear el router que no arregla nada. Dure casi dos semanas en el lobby tratando de poder usar el WiFi. Terminé saliendo del hotel cada vez que necesitaba connection.

Goof value for money. Clean and spacious room. Helpfull staff but there were not enough of them to quickly handle check-in or check-out.

Good hotel, if you have a car. Location not so good if you prefer to walk. I stayed 4 nights but only had breacfast once. Food that was supposed to be warm was more or less cold(eggs). Bread not fresh. Coffie terrible. Opening hours in resturant very strange.

Nice hotel, very comfortable and clean. It’s an easy on off to highway but outside León. No options to eat nearby except in hotel. We just had a light meal but Food was good. Would stay here again.

Easy to find and great for stopover. On outskirts of Leon. Large room, outstanding value. Helpful reception staff. Parking adjacent. Sadly outdoor pool was closed (8 September). Breakfast fine. Simple evening menu in collocated cafe.

Location was good. Parking for motorcycles was poor

I had e-mailed the hotel the day prior to arrival about printing my Ryanair boarding pass and they had it ready for me upon checkin. Clean and comfortable rooms

Nice hotel outside the city centre

Everyone on the staff was very friendly and tried to speak English, even if it was not so good and they did not mind us practicing our terrible Mexican-Spanish on them... they were patient and tried to help meet all our needs/requests. The front desk people spoke English better than the other staff. I would come back here because the rooms were very inexpensive and very large for the price and for European standards. The room even had a mini-fridge, no minibar, which was fine, but they gave us two free small bottles of water already in the room as a complementary welcome gift. This place was great, but you have to drive into the city center, as it is at least 2-3 miles away.

Friendly English-speaking staff was good. We needed a nice hotel on our trip to northern Spain, and this hotel fit the bill since it was right off the highway we were taking. Because it was on the edge of town, you would need a car or taxi to explore Leon, and it would not be hard to find a free parking spot within a 5-10 minute walk to the 'old town' of Leon.

a bit outside town, but free parking. Not too difficult to reach the old town from there anyway. Staff we dealt with was extraordinary kind and helpful.

Only used this hotel for a transit stop-over. Good place from which to visit nearby spectacular caves but not good for visiting Leon. Evening meal not so good. Staff tried hard with English.

This hotel is very old and hasn't been renovated for at least a couple of decades. The halls and room was very smelly, there was mould on the window frames and in the bathroom, there were no towels in the room.. Worst of all, there was a screw sticking out of the floor in the bathroom! I managed to step on it and injured my foot. The ladies in the reception were very nice during the check in and check out, but that is pretty much the only positive thing about this hotel. Take your custom elsewhere, I'd say.

Hotel good, just a little old. Away from old town but not hard to drive to.. old town that is. Receptionist was very good, she gave lots of good tips.

Staff at reception was awesome very helpful. Restaurant more or less. We picked the hotel since we were driving through and was fine for that but probably not suitable for public transport

the hotel was clean and the room was very comfortable, the hotel is a few minutes away from the city and it was a relaxing stay. I'd recommend it! I was driving and it was easily accessible by car.

Staff was helpful; wifi worked GREAT; room was very comfortable. NO complaints.
