Stay was good. Central to main town.
Disappointed when they said they had satellite tv as I was expecting at least to be able to get a couple English speaking channels even if it was just news programming. I know it is Spain but for a 4 star hotel I was disappointed in that regard

Interesting views over harbour and estuary. Easy walking to town area, but cafes and restaurants don't open until late evening for dinner which is normal for non-tourist areas in Spain. Supermarkets available on the outskirts of town. Mountain areas accessible by road. Great breakfast choice and service excellent.

This is not the best parador I have stayed in but it isn’t bad either. It benefits from great views across the estuary and a pleasant bar and restaurant to enjoy it from. The rooms are basic, small and rather dark. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant and the food and drink is reasonably priced. I couldn’t help thinking that they could make so much more of the place though.

Thanks to a severely delayed ferry, what was supposed to be a day touring through Cantabria ended up being a late dash to Ribadeo and an overnight stop at Parador.
The hotel was very comfortable and clean and the room's enclosed balcony had beautiful views across the bay. There was convenient free parking opposite and the hotel is a short walk from all the sites and facilities of the town.
The restaurant and room service had both finished for the day by the time we arrived so we can't comment on the quality of the catering.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ribadeo Parador. The views from the restaurant were awesome and our meals there were quite good (especially the breakfast spread). We were within walking distance of the downtown area as well as the walkway along the river. Our room didn’t have a view but was plenty comfortable. Our only wish is that someone at the parador had told us that if we were interested in going to As Catedrais (one of the places that the parador listed as a must see), that we should get a voucher and reservation so that we could go down on the beach. We drove out there and were turned away and had no idea why until we looked information up on the web.
