What a relaxing place this is! We are a family of 3 and spent (unfortunately) only one night at the Farms Resort in Hatton. Great elegant bungalow with beautiful terrace and view on the lake. Very spacious. Excellent dinner and very kind service and staff. A place to go back!

Everything about our stay was as expected except for the ludicrous pricing of a vegetarian lunch consisting of 3 vegetable curries and lentil curry with rice costing 3,450 rupees per person when a tea pluckers daily pay was finally raised to Rs.1,000. BTW the buffet lunch at the 5 star Heritance Tea Factory cost Rs. 3,000.

The location is great and natural. The place itself seems a little unfinished (no bathtub in the room, some construction, no nets in windows and the rooms can be more accessorized). The hospitality was very good, and the staff (especially Justin) are very nice and helpful. I believe that in a few seasons this place will be a top 5star hotel as the buildings and natural environment are really special, but indeed a little touch up can make this place an even more perfect spot for vacation.

The situation on the edge of the reservoir and in the midst of the tea fields is really spectacular. Everywhere you can wander from the property's location is going to be just delightful, and there are some great outing/day trip options in the surrounding area. So whether you just want to laze around in the hammocks and later go for a stroll in the hills, or really see + do the Hatton area, you're going to be well-pleased. The service is unparalleled - I've never felt so welcomed, taken care of, and respected by a hotel staff. The only problem I had was that there was no mosquito net, and I really needed one - but I would wager this is not a issue for most guests, which is why it's not already provided. I unfortunately have some kind of constitution that mosquitos are exceptionally fond of, so they always find me even when they ignore everyone else. I would have slept more peacefully here if there had been a mosquito net. But if you're like most of the Asian continent's population, and ~don't~ have type O blood, you'll probably be unbothered and not miss the mosquito net at all. Other than that, everything at the Farm Resorts was perfect. The food was excellent! And as I said before, the best service and greatest kindness I've ever experienced from a hotel staff. I didn't want to leave!

The place has a few bugs to work out, but all in all it's an idyllic spot to spend a weekend. Atop an isolated ridge overlooking Castlereigh Reservoir, surrounded by sparkling green tea plantations, and being waited on by the dedication staff (thanks Justin!). Life could be a lot worse.

The Farm is beautifully set among tea fields and the resevoir. Aside from the near-objective qualities of room, views etc., the service by “the boys” stood out as excellent - both were very friendly, accommodating and talkative (without being too much)

When I was taken to the room I realize there wasn't hairdryer and I ask for it, Keith the host simply said "you book an economy room so you don't have one", I ask if there is any other available rooms that are well equipped, he took me to a second floor room with sitting area, convincing me it meet my needs as this room has wi-fi and hairdryer (partly not true, info. page states all rooms has wi-fi), I decide to pay the difference to upgrade. He promise housekeeping will clean up and luggage will be transferred to this room when I'm back, we went out for lunch and came back after two hours, Keith handle the room key and said the room is ready and the luggage is inside. My boyfriend found towel with red stain looking like dried blood and the bathroom has no amenities, Keith came and suddenly got emotional yelling "I told you the room wasn't ready", leaving me speechless he rudely grab the towel and turned away, before he left I told him hairdryer is also missing and I really need it after a dusty long journey, he said the resort only has 2 hairdryers and both are in other guestrooms. We were frustrated but tired of arguing, I tick unhappy check-in on the review page, he immediately saw and rang me, he shout at me telling me to leave next morning, I've never been humiliated this way by the host. My first time leaving bad comment and sadly it happened in a country I love. Farm Resorts was a real nightmare, Hatton area has plenty of other choices with stunning views.

This is an amazing place. The quality of the accommodation, food and service is exceptional. Our room was huge with a separate lounge area, so clean and beautiful with two outdoor terraces, complete with comfortable lounges, and blissful views of the lake. You know the food will be great when you order a salad and the pick all the ingredients from their their own garden and serve within minutes. Our dinner of wild boar curry was the best food we have eaten our whole trip. If you are in the area, or after your walk up Adams Peak, this I the place to stay.

We were welcomed warmly by a gentleman called Keith who made us feel at home straight away. The surrounding area was sublime and the resort itself is situated in a breath taking location. Our room was very basic and nothing to write home about, but we did go for the cheapest option. I did have a look at the villas while I was there and they looked fantastic. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast with food being very reasonably priced and also very tasty. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
