First Hotel Witt

Wonderful pool, sauna, breakfast - very friendly and helpful staff!

Great, central location and excellent value for money. Not the most glamorous or modern but if you're looking for a clean, friendly place in central Kalmar, you can't do much better than this. Would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel is very good value for money, it's clean, right in the central area, has free coffee, tea and still/sparkling water by the reception. Breakfast is very good and included in the price. The room was a bit dated but overall was good with comfortable beds Staff is very friendly and helpful Swimming pool and sauna area is also quite good

These were hands down the most comfortable beds and pillows we've experienced on this trip to Europe, and the trip included stays at three Hiltons and several other Hilton properties. Breakfast at FH Witt is also slightly better than at some/most Euro Hiltons. Not way better, good variety but exceptional quality. Room service was amazing. Dozens of good-quality restaurants within 5 blocks. Parking is extremely easy, we parked right in front of the entrance for a few euros every evening. Drawbacks: No air conditioning, room gets hot even with windows open when it's 23 °C outside. Shower spews water everywhere in the bathroom. Towels are small and few. There is no restaurant for lunch or dinner within the hotel, although they'll gladly pour you a beer or several. In all, lacking a Hilton property in Kalmar, this is as close as it gets with the only material downgrade being lack of air conditioning! Airline crews flying into/out of KLR stay here. So... it's good.

Hotel was not really worth the cost. The rooms were very small and hot. However, it was centrally located and convenient. They only have a few hotel parking spaces and you need to reserve in advance or park in one of the public lots. My main complaint was that when I turned on the shower, water came flooding out from underneath the tub.

This is a moderately priced hotel with a decent breakfast buffet. I wish there had been AC and that there were outlets on either side of the bed.
