Around a 10 minute walk from the center of town and the train station. This is a well appointed hotel with a Swiss Alpine vibe. We had a lovely couple of days here and in Lucerne.

The air conditioner broke in the middle of a heat wave in the middle of the night. We called downstairs but we were only able to partially restore it after a lot of effort and waking everyone in the room up. The hotel obviously does not maintain the property as well as they could. They should not be charging the prices they do for rooms with no air conditioning. When we checked out, the staff don’t even ask us how our stay was. Some staff were friendly and helpful but others were definitely not. Also, one day the room was not cleaned even though the sign was hung on the door, I asked the maid in the hall, and I asked the front desk at noon and they assured me it would be cleaned. This hotel is definitely overrated on Expedia and overpriced. The room was very small and not quiet. Would not stay there again.

Staff were so friendly and helpful, it made our stay really wonderful. Nice, quiet hotel but still very close to railway station and centre of Lucerne. We got the train from Zurich airport and walked to the hotel in 5 minutes. Food in restaurant absolutely delicious!

The Casada Hotel in Lucerne, Switzerland was fantastic! The property is clean, secure and fairly close to the train station. The Bolero restaurant was excellent for our dinner! Just a few things to know if you’re considering this hotel. 1:) rooms look bigger in the photos. We stayed in a larger room and paid more for the space, but the room is still small. Like maybe the size of two large walk-in closets in the U.S. 2). Walking to the bridge and main square shopping areas is a few blocks away. Wear good, comfortable shoes if you plan to explore the area. Again, it’s a great hotel and very tailored to taking care of their guests. We got free Casada glass water bottles as keepsakes to bring home. Plus, it rained a bit and they have wonderful quality umbrellas to use. Plus we got a few free beers in our frig and you can fill up your water bottles in the lobby fountain or your room. Excellent quality water! 3:) the elevator only holds 2 people and two carry-on suitcases, so pack light. The bed and down comforter was amazing! You can’t go wrong with a stay here! Just be prepared to walk a bit more and also remember it’s a smaller hotel and tailored to their guests! Lovely furnishings and decor. This review is from a couple from Iowa in the U.S.
