Hotel Rheinfelderhof

Room was small. A large desk took up much space and wasn’t needed. Counter space in the bathroom could have been larger. A couple lights and electrical outlets were inoperable. Otherwise safe and comfortable.

Convenient older hotel. Walkable area. Lovely old city streets. Friendly area.

The elevator was wonderful. It was very hot during our stay so the lack of AC was felt but not their fault. We enjoyed our stay and the convenient location

Great location. Tram stop just a minute or 2 away and free tram travel included with a Basel Card which you recieve on check in! Only 5 mins walk from the conference centre. Great room and really friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely stay again. Bakery/supermarkets a few mins walk away. Fridge in room!

Stay was pleasant , location convenient. Hotels .com booking was misleading I'm sure i booked rooms with breakfast but both at check in and when I contacted HDC it not confirmed. With it being an expensive booking over eurovision weekend in basel i would never have booked a hotel without breakfast, so i doubt i'll book with the website again.

Great hotel - was able to let me into my room a bit early which was appreciated. Also upgraded my room as I’m 193cm and the staff said my original room may be a bit small! Bit of an older style decor etc but clean and functional. Great location on Clarastrasse, but quiet in room at back.

The attached restaurant was expensive.

Great value for the money. Great location - walking distance to all areas - team right outside. On busy street that room faced on to but when doors to balcony were closed it was very sounds proof. Small room but very cute, clean, and well appointed - good beds. Wanted for nothing.

good location for getting into the walkable city of Basel. Unfortunately I had a couple of issues during my stay. Although check-in is listed as being available after a certain time, when I arrived at 8 pm there was no-one at reception and had to wait 15 minutes until someone responded to the phone available on the reception desk. That said the actual check-in was done well. Secondly, after arriving in my room for my second night I discovered the window had been left open on a day of near freezing temperatures. Also, despite leaving my towels on the towel rails I found they had been removed and not replaced. Reception were able to supply only a hand towel and bath mat, which meant no shower that evening or the following morning before I checked out

Very near downtown, the staff gives a card for the transportation,the beds were very comfy

The area was centrally located near tourist attractions. Very walkable.

The hotel in itself was nice however, on the first floor there is a pot wash and a function room so between the hours of 6pm-11pm all I could hear was loud chatter and plates being washed. Not good if you want a early night!

Excellant location, friendly staff, perfect stay

A very comfortable hotel, clean, friendly staff. The only thing I would say is they need to update their towels they are very thin.
