Cosmos Hotel Taipei

This hotel is situated in a convenient location in Taipei, close in proximity to the metro, shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing in general parks, museums, night markets etc.) the hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. It has a fitness center and multiple onsite restaurants for breakfast buffet and fine dining. However, it does not have amenities like ice and vending machines and a bar like the other newer hotels in the area but the hotel rate is also a tad lower.

Older hotel, well maintained, staff helpful. Shower in tub with high sides & difficult to get in & out of. A bit scary if not a young gymnast. Location great next to main train station but many homeless around station. :/

We stayed in the family suite with our young adult children. It was extremely spacious and comfortable. The welcome drinks voucher and free mini bar drinks was an unexpected bonus. Room was clean with coffee machine. Definitely recommend

Walking distance to Taipei Main station. Signage at train station to hotel. Escalator available on exit n entry. Hotel is a bit old but upgraded w new gadgets. Eg. Usb and usb c for electronic devices charging.

Great location and services.

Friendly and professional staff. Very convenient location right outside Taipei main train station, with easy access to all kinds of transportation, shopping and local food. Free drink vouchers are a nice touch. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived and had to wait a bit, and ACs in room are a bit noisy. Overall, I recommend this hotel to visitors to Taipei city.

Our stay at Cosmos Hotel Taipei from April 13th to 17th, 2025 was yet another wonderful experience, thanks to the outstanding service provided by Miss Tian Xiao Lan (Room Attendant for Room 815) and the entire team. Miss Tian’s attention to detail, warm hospitality, and dedication to ensuring our room was always immaculate made our stay truly comfortable. Her kindness and professionalism reflect the high standards of service at Cosmos Hotel. This was our third stay at the hotel, and as always, the entire team—from the front office, bell hop, housekeeping, and the 17 Café staff —made us feel warmly welcomed. Every interaction was filled with genuine care, making us feel like we were returning home each time. Thank you, Miss Tian Xiao Lan and the entire Cosmos Hotel team, for making our stay so memorable. We look forward to returning soon!

My family of 5 stayed at Cosmos Hotel over the course of a month during our trip to Asia. The hotel is conveniently located next to the Taipei Main Station which is also the terminal stop for the Taoyuan Airport MRT. After you exit the airport MRT you need to walk quite a distance (indoors) to find the Taipei Main Station exits. The hotel is located at exit M3 and there's signage for Cosmos inside the MRT station. If you have a lot of luggage like us, I recommend you use exit M4 which has an elevator. Once you pop out of M4 you turn left to find Cosmos. The hotel provided some freebies: bottled water, sodas in the fridge, coffee vouchers, luggage holds before and after your stay. We experienced 4 different rooms during our stay there. The best one was a corner unit that had windows on 2 sides. The worst one was a handicap room next to the elevator - you hear the elevator noise all the time. Some bathrooms are better than others, but all were clean and adequate. The hotel is a 10 minute walk away from California Cleaners that does laundry for a reasonalbe price. It's 12 minutes walk from a Michelin rated breakfast place (Fuhang). It is next to MRT exits M7, M3, and M4 which places you at whichever lines you need to take. We appreciated the hotel so much that we cancelled another hotel reservation and changed it to Cosmos. We'd gladly stay here next time.

Good staff service and very good cleaning staff. but the building is old. room is small.

The air conditioner was centralized. I complained that my room was chilly. After that hotel staff brought my room an electric heater soon.

Great location. It is close to all kinds of public transport such as metro, airport express, high speed trains as well as the local trains and buses.

We love this hotel in general, but it is just "too old". The hotel needs a good overhaul by replacing carpet, furniture, lighting, wallpaper.....

Despite being a very old hotel (built in 1979), I feel the hotel staff and management are trying hard to maintain its relevance. I respect that. What really made my stay uncomfortable is the missing of heating. For the two nights I spent at the hotel, I had to wear my sweater during sleep. Also, this hotel apparently gets a lot of business from tour groups, which means heavy price competition. You can imagine the rest. Breakfast is good though.
