Room was clean and location was good, with upgrades of the surrounding buildings. Would have appreciated sockets and a light by the bedside that works and not so loose that the adaptor could not stay in place.

This is a very quirky charming hotel with a lovely cafe on the ground floor. Each room is unique and many have unusual features (for example the bath tub in the room we stayed in was on the glassed in porch reached by two steps--a handrail would have been nice). But in the world of anonymous cookie-cutter hotels it was a very charming change. Breakfast is not available with the room and is only possible if you order it the night before, but the cafe which opens at 10AM has excellent breakfast fare for purchase. Daihua Street is very busy, historic, and delightful during the day with lots of appealing shops but surprisingly empty at night.

Beautifully decorated room and friendly staff. The first night i was in room 202 which was faultless. The second night i was in room 206 which was spotless however there was a pulsing background noise which although wasnt very loud, was loud enough to make it difficult to get to sleep.

Firstly, its a cafe. English is very poor and they are only open 8am to 8pm. Outside those hours, noone there. 4 floors, only 3 are reachable by lift. I was put on the forth floor and as a 68 year old had to hump a full suitcase up and down a flight of narrow stairs. "Quirky" is an understatement. Took me ages to get them to understand i wanted wifi password to enable us to converse using Google translate. Room was tiny, i mean tiny. No room at all. It was a living nightmare.

Room while small, is very clean and comfortable! Reasonable price. Close to subway and bus stations that take you to Taipei Station within 20 mins if you time the public transportation right. Lots of good food around the hotel, & the hotel itself also is a cafe where you can order food and drinks at the lobby. Staffs are very friendly and helpful to introduce you to the hotel surrounding. Very recommending, and definitely will stay there again when I visit Taipei in the future!

It’s located along dihua street which is good for a cultural stroll but at the very end of the street hence it is extremely quiet at night when the shops are closed. Quite distance away from the metro datouqiao. Walkable to ningxia night market and zhong shan station like 15-25 mins. I landed late due to flight delay and saw the message from the hotel asking me when I’ll be checking in. I replied messages on Expedia to the hotel but there was no reply from them or so. The entrance was locked when I arrived and there was no instructions given. Apparently the friend desk ends their shift at 8pm. If it wasn’t my Taiwanese friend who happened to be there to call to ask, I guess I’m gonna be stranded there along the shoplot corridor, at night, 10°C. I stayed at the highest level (level 4 in fact). I took a lift up to level 3, then walked up the staircases to (I believe it was an open air balcony and they renovated it to rooms) my room carrying the luggage which was quite a nightmare as I wasn’t expecting staircases when it stated it has lift. Room is smaller than the images shown. The bed is adjacent to the bathroom (wall to wall). Soundproof isn’t good. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place

Room was way too small. Clean and comfoetanle but very small. The hotel was in a trendy little area but plenty of restaurants and markets for shopping or food. There are four floors but a lift for only three floors. You have to climb a lot of stairs to get to the fourth floor from the third.
