Ao Nang Timber House

We had a wonderful day at the Aonang Timber House. The staff was friendly and accommodating.Our room was spacious and suited us perfectly. It was away from the downtown, so it was quiet, and there were lots of options for food and shopping! We are also very close to the beach, and transportation to Railay and other destinations, we had a wonderful stay, and we would stay here again!

Stayed for 3 nights in January. The hotel is dated but was acceptable for a short stay. If they had a bar, restaurant or somewhere to purchase drinks etc, this would make it a better place to stay.

Would do for a budget stay but do NOT expect much

We really liked this small hotel. The rooms were big enough and the facilities in the room were good. Large fridge, microwave, hairdryer. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was varied each day. The hotel is in a good spot, a short walk to beaches, shops, bars and restaurants. We had booked at short notice, and didnt expect much but were pleasantly surprised. I would stay here again.

Hotel don’t clean the room every day. Every other day they clean the room. They told me that is their policy.

A very relaxing stay here for 13 nights, great location, rooms cleaned every day, staff were all friendly and the breakfast was well cooked with plenty of choice.

Really nice for a great price! Staff were AMAZING!

It was very cheap, so can’t have massive complaints, however it was extremely basic. The room had only one plug socket. The hotel provides water in refillable glass bottles. We checked at reception, who reassured us that it was bottled water that had been poured into the glass bottles, however we are not sure this is true. After drinking their water we suffered from diarrhoea. Be cautious of this when staying there. Despite them advertising like most of the rooms are poolside ones, there are in fact only a few that are and the chances of getting one are low. Our room was in the B block, which was on the front of the hotel and extremely noisy from the main road. The fridge also turns off when removing the key card for the room, so be aware of this when storing any food.

Good size rooms. Basic.

I recently stayed at this accommodation, and it offers great basic amenities in a central location. Conveniently, everything is within walking distance. The highlight for me was the delightful pool, adding a refreshing touch to the overall experience.

The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was good with several choices. Coffee machine was great with many types of coffee. However, mosquitoes were in the room before checked in. It would be great if mosquitoes treatment was used ahead of checking in. Thanks for your great service.

Room was excellent and spacious.

Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are clean, outside area are a bit weathered. Wi-Fi is slower than average.

Now it is just a shodow of its glorious past. The property badly needs a thorough renovation. Currently, not a good value for money. Location was good though. The attitude of the staff were so so. Breakfast was OK.

This hotel was at the best location!! We had a 7/11 in rock throwing distance and literally on the strip. It was a short walk to tons of places to eat and shop! Breakfast was included and we ate el frisco every day. The staff was so accommodating. We had excursions every day so only used the hotel for sleeping and showering. The A/C was ice cold, our first room had a leaking A/C which didn’t bother us much but when room service discovered it, they quickly moved us to another room without us even having to ask. At first, sitting on the bed, we thought it was a little too firm. Let me tell you, best sleep ever! We traveled with 4 kids, 9-20yrs old and they would tell you the same! Best sleep on those beds! Also, shower water doesn’t get too hot, which is okay because it is so hot outside, the lukewarm showers felt great. If you are planning to be super busy and out and about, this hotel is perfect and the staff was so nice! Great value and price!
