Hotel was spotless, breakfast + dinner buffets had huge amount of choice, views were unbeatable from our sea view room and the lobby, sauna + gym + steam room + pool were well serviced and clean. One main negative was that we were promised a takeaway breakfast via their WhatsApp service due to a 6am checkout, but on checkout we were told nothing had been organized, which was disappointing as we did technically pay for it.

I had an amazing solo stay at Akra Hotel, especially after having to switch hotels, and I’m so glad I chose this one. My room was wonderful with a beautiful view, and I really enjoyed using room service. The chamomile tea was a highlight for me—I had it every night and it helped me relax and sleep so well. This was also my first time trying Turkish coffee, which was a great experience. I dined at Pablito’s restaurant as well as the restaurant on the 10th floor, and both were excellent. I also loved being able to shop downstairs for gifts and bring chocolates back home for my family. The poolside area was incredibly relaxing and added to the overall peaceful vibe of my stay. I especially want to recognize Atiya from Guest Services. She was kind, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Her warmth and professionalism made my stay even more special. Overall, this was an amazing solo trip, and Akra Hotel played a big part in that. I would absolutely stay here again!

I think the unbending and unaccommodating staff and management overshadow any potential rating for the overall hotel appearance. As many of us are aware there is a war going on right now, and I had to leave one day after arriving due to work, obligations as a result, and the hotel did not try nor care to accommodate me for a refund, they told me turkey was safe (two days later a missile headed for Turkey had to be shot down!! All they cared about was keeping my money) Additionally, I had to complain several times that my room that I spent almost $1000 for three nights smelled like smoke!! And the only excuse that I got was somebody may have been on the balcony smoking!! Unacceptable on so many levels!!
