This is not a 5 star property in any way shape or form. Highly disappointing. Pool in the basement is gross. The restaurant is overrated and overpriced. The housekeeping staff was wonderful and extremely friendly, making sure to drop water off at our room every day and did a fantastic job. Other than that, would not recommended this property at all

Walking distance to Galata Tower and the fantastic shopping in Takism Square

The 3rd bed is an uncomfortable cot which is unacceptable after a 10 hour flight, reception staff are not very friendly, the rooftop restaurant can’t get your dinner order right, but expect you to pay. The food was not of high quality either. The beef shank tasted old. After failing to acknowledge our anniversary by themselves, they sent us a plate of breakfast buffet fruit. We asked the front desk for support for getting a taxi, and they just said that they don’t speak English. We got zero help. Just constant snide stares. We watched the front desk manager lie to someone who called in by saying the system was down while he was using the system to check us in. We called to speak to Zara, the general manager, and no one has called us back. Gulfur from housekeeping was the most excellent person at the property! She should work at front desk or at least in management!

When I reached there the hotel told me my booking was cancelled and then after 1 to 2 hours they said that they managed to get my booking. When they gave me my room it was too small and there was no view, the view was the parking lot with zero view of the city and when I booked they said the room will come with a city view. So I don’t advise this hotel to anyone

Location

The description on Hotels.com says there should be gowns and pillow menu - none of those was available (we had an Executive room). Furthermore, and that's the main reason for low rating was the constant awful drainage smell from the bathroom.

Nice room sizes

My wife and I were there for our 20th anniversary. Not a pleasant experience at all. We complained numerous times about the air conditioning and were told that there was nothing they could do about it. We could set the temperature to 19c but it would never go below 23c. Miserable sleeping conditions. Neither one of us slept both nights we were there. They were also moving their buffet restaurant to the floor right above us. The first morning we were there. It was very noisy as they were moving all the furniture around. The second morning we were there. They were finally doing breakfast service and the noise on the floor from above Was dreadful. I talked with management about this and they didn’t seem to care at all. What a waste for our 20th anniversary.

The hotel staff is great. The property claims to be 5 star but far from that. The spa is not relaxing it is next to a loud gym that blasts rap music. The shower panels were coming off. The rooms are way smaller than they show. So loud. You hear all the city noise 24/7. They have these air perfume machines on their hallways that triggered my asthma. Hotel is not sensitive to people with respiratory issues. The food is good here snd so is their breakfast buffet. The employees were great too. This hotel is walking distance to taksim and Galata area. Personally I wouldn’t stay here again or visit Istanbul again.

Zara in guest services is absolutely amazing

The hotel is good. They even let me check in 3 hrs early which was a very good help. Most of the staff were courteous and helpful but I had 2 issue. 1.when booking my stay, i didn’t add Bfast with it as I thought I will do at the hotel. Upon checking, the staff told me that my room didn’t include the Bfast and if I wanted to have Bfast they will be 19 or 20 euro which was fine with me. The next morning, I when to have my Bfast and when I was coming out one of the restaurant staff asked my how would I want to pay and I said I can pay now, when I saw my bill it was 40 euros. I told him, is this correct as 40 euros seems very high for breakfast for 1 person and he said that’s their price. I even told him that I was told yesterday that it was 19 euros and he said, he isn’t sure what was said to me and I need to pay 40 euros which I did. Then I went to the reception and I told the staff that look it’s not about the money but I don’t think I need to paid 40 euros for Bfast when I was told it will be 19 euros and he said, sir because you didn’t book the Bfast from us that’s is why restaurant charged you double and I was like what, isn’t the restaurant part of your hotel? If they would have explained me I would have paid at the time of check in. Anyway they didn’t do anything. 2. I like my room yo be cold for sleeping and when I turned the air con on it was blowing hot air, when I called the staff they said they can’t do anything as in winter the air c blows hot air only.

Fabulous nice neat and clean hotel . Few minutes Walk to Istiklal street on your way a lot to explore . Very nice interior and a lot of amenities .View of my room fabulous city and river view . Beds washroom clean interior of hotel was awesome. Staff always ready to help . Breakfast was amazing with a lot of selections .Breakfast staff was very professional and well uniformed with nice elegant smells . Fine Restaurant,Cafes and many more on walking distance . Commute to old town or Grand bazar was bit tough as no metro station close by but this place has its own pace . Finally Mr Huseyin which I should admire first as he checked us in was amazing caring and very polite . Thanks to all

Great hotel, walkable to Beyoğlu arts scene and Sultanahmet

I would give it a 4 due to some major points such as location is close to highway and loud- staff somewhat communicates in English - and lastly there is no air conditioning till May ( they keep heat on with no ac option in hotel even rooms)

The location is great. It's around the corner of all the café, bars and pubs in Galata without all the noise. The hotel staff is amazing en the room was quiet and neat clean. Highly recommended for
