Book it! It was the perfect boutique hotel. Walking distance to everything.

The Lodge used an intense smelling fragrance in my room. After ten minutes, I had a headache and it felt like my mouth and throat were coated with fragrance. When I asked to move to another room, I was told all rooms had the same intense smell. After 30 years of extensive worldwide travel, intense smells have only been encountered when properties were trying to eliminate a problem ( eg smoke, animal, body, musty, etc. odors. Management told me no one else had ever complained about the fragrance before but they had people making reservations asking them not to use fragrance. Hmmm. After trying to air out the room for three hours and still having a reaction to smell, I asked for a refund. I was told that if Expedia called and released funds to them, I’d receive one. However, after Expedia called them, the Lodge decided not to refund me. If they would have just told me that up front, I wouldn’t be writing this. Maybe I misunderstood, If so, I apologize but still think others should be told about intense fragrance, as it’s not normal in hotel/lodge properties.

Great little spot

The staff was courteous and helpful and the environment successfully replaced a loud and crowded convention hotel (Del Coronado) with a very comfortable bed, roomy quarters and a inviting home environment!

Great boutique hotel in Coronado. Staff were great, breakfast was excellent. 2min walk to the best restaurants and shops in Coronado. Short walk to the beach also. Highly recommend a stay!

First of all, what is there not to like? This literally was a five minute walk to the beach and the hotel Del Coronado. We had all the restaurants and conveniences as if we were staying at the hotel Del Coronado, but at a fraction of the cost. Love the happy hour and complementary hot served breakfast. The staff was super friendly and welcoming.

Can not say enough about this property, staff was fantastic! Breakfast and happy hour were unbelievable! Just the best time so much so I have already booked another stay 😊

We loved our stay at 1906. Such a wonderful property tucked away from the summer travelers, yet so close to everything. The staff was wonderful as were all the amenities. We enjoyed a concert in the park, good food & coffee, beach walks - all walking distance from the hotel. We loved our room with a private porch. The hotel has an incredible breakfast as well as bikes and beach gear. Wonderful staycation for us San Diegans. We will definitely be back.

The Lodge was very quaint and lovely. The rooms were accommodated nicely. The only complaint I have is that the on-line write up about the place stated that there was complementary underground parking, but when we checked in we were told if we wanted to park in the underground garage it would cost $30 a night. That I take as false advertising.

We enjoyed the spacious room, comfortable bed, and delicious breakfast. We especially loved the evening wine with appetizers.

This is one of my favorite properties ion Coronado Island. It's walking distance to the beach and the nicest restaurants. The service is exceptional and the food is amazing.

We enjoy the quiet atmosphere. The staff is very welcoming. The property is well maintained, proximity to restaurants and shops is ideal for walking

Loved the privacy and quiet of the courtyard, especially at breakfast. Didn't feel like we were in the touristy area that we were in the middle of. We really liked the room itself, the bed was extremely comfortable. The TV however was not totally visible from the bed where you have it mounted on the wall and the jets in the Jacuzzi didn't work.

Love this place, very romantic and cozy. My wife and I had a great time. They offered happy hour and the breakfast was delicious. We used the complimentary bicycles and had a great time touring the island!

It was like staying in an old time elegant home in the historic lodge. The reading room was our all time favorite. If we were not out and about we were there. They had installed an elevator to use to get to the second floor and basement to the underground parking garage, with a garage door!! The breakfast was homemade and wonderful as were the happy hour snacks and beverages. It instantly became our all time favorite place !

It was an amazing place. We enjoyed the location and the room. It was quiet and beautiful. The staff took great care of us and were extremely kind. They delivered us happy hour with treats. The room had personal touches like fluffy brown robes, amazing cookies and eco water.

This property was so beautiful. The parking is difficult. And I did have a plumbing issue that they weren’t able to fix. But the staff are very accommodating and the facility is beautiful.
