Aztec Motel

Our room was basically a closet! I do not know where to begin! Worst hotel room I have ever stayed in my life! - The room was so small. Looked like it was added onto the building. My wife and I kept bumping into one another when we were walking around. I killed not 1 but 2 spiders. Ants on the sink. What a joke! The place was so disgusting! I have pictures but it is not loading. - Toilet seat was loose I got up and hit my head on the wall. - We saw ants on the sink! - Shower leaked There was no holder to put the shampoo and soap! - Only room with no chairs outside of our room. - View was horrendous outside the window. It was a rundown building and down below was an alley with a dumpster that smelled horribly. - My wife and I did not sleep the entirely night! - The Ac unit was so loud and you only felt the cold air if you stood in front of it. - The front door was not secure! We can see the light coming in from the outside. Did not feel safe at all! - You could not watch tv because half the screen was blocked by the bathroom door when it opened. - There was only 13 channels on the tv and 4 of them did not work! Some of the channels were frozen. Ridiculous! It was not in hd. - The bed was so uncomfortable. Did not get one second of sleep. My wife's back is killing her. The whole place was disgusting. The owner should be embarrassed for having an establishment like that. The whole experience was a nightmare! My wife is so unhappy and upset! WE DESERVE TO BE REIMBURSED!!!

The beds were a little too hard for my liking, and the Bathroom was small but I actually enjoyed staying here. The kids had a blast at the pool and the manager was very down to earth. It’s only one block from the beach which is great! I would stay here again 🙂

The room was shoved in a corner we had no chairs or balcony outside our door. Mold on the bathroom ceiling, no air ventilation besides opening window which didn’t help being 95 degrees outside. No shower caddy for any soap razors had to put on dirty floor. Uncomfortable bed. Bathroom door blocked tv which only had 8 channels. Overall not the best

Although Chitu (front desk staff) was nice & Expedia offered no pre pay; our stay was not very relaxing. We requested our room be cleaned by housekeeping each day we were there - and it was not visited by the cleaning staff, even once! I had to empty our garbages & put outside - and had to look for the staff to ask for towels. The property is very outdated & in disrepair It doesn’t look like they want to update the pool area or other common areas. The grill did not work & the lobby area by the coffee machine was untidy & unsanitary, very sad and unacceptable. We paid well over $1000 + and did not get services comparable to that high fee. The website is inaccurate & deceiving, sadly. Only 1 positive - the shower was updated & the beds were comfortable. But the couch in our room was old & dirty Our room looked liked it didn’t get painted since the building was built. We deserve a partial refund. Thank you for listening. Sincerely The DeFrancos

Rooms were very clean,the outside garbages ,pool area,and coffee area need more attention.very busy weekend,and staff was very friendly. Oh they definately need new grills and utensils, plates ,cups Its ok,but it coyld be great with a little more attention to detail...

The rooms were very small and looked nothing like the photos online. When we booked the place, the price advertised was different as opposed to when we checked in. The appliances were ragedy and definitely needs an updated service. The electrical outlet was hanging off and wasnt screwed to the wall. Also dont pay for insurance; we payed a $50 insurance fee and informed the lobby staff and their response was "we dont know anything about that its not on us." Not to mention a friend had slept at our place and it was a $20 fee per night just to have them spend a night

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time! The room was clean and the people there were so nice! Great location close enough to the beach and boardwalk but quiet at night.

Appearance was clean. Spider on the ceiling. The AC was not on when we arrived. Room was very hot.

Not the cleanest place especially for such a high price. Could have also turned the AC on prior to us getting there

Property was dated. Rooms were extremely small. I had a few questions for the staff and the answers were short and clipped. Very disappointed.

The bathroom sink did not turn on. Overall the room was clean.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Aztec. Honestly was looking for the cheapest room closest to the boardwalk for the 4th of July for a group trip and wasn’t expecting anything great, other than the bed to sleep in. My friends stayed somewhere directly off the boardwalk and honestly I was wayyyy happier with the Aztec. Free parking, the rooms were basically the same… only problem was we didn’t get all the TV channels but I also never complained to the staff so that’s on me. The pool was great, the outside patio for the rooms was perfect, our neighbors were friendly, the vibe was right… I didn’t feel as warm and welcomed at the “nicer” (read: more expensive) boardwalk hotel. I’d stay here EVERY time over somewhere directly on the boardwalk.

Room was a bit small but was clean and the location was perfect. Staff were awesome!

Staff was nice, the rooms were old and not updated pool wasn't clean and the bathrooms were terrible. Water in the bathroom didn't go down the sink was outside the room it was terrible.

I booked this hotel last minute for one night during a holiday, so I wasn’t expecting luxury, but it did its job as a basic place to sleep and shower. For a short stay, it was fine, but there were a few issues that definitely need attention. The bathroom was a bit of a letdown. There was no ventilation, which made it feel stuffy. The walls were in need of repair, and there wasn’t a towel bar to hang anything up. Also, no place to put shampoo, soap, or other toiletries in the shower—something as simple as a shelf would have made a big difference. Towels had a lot of lint on them, which covered us completely. We had to use a beach towel to wipe it all off. Not ideal. The room felt a bit dingy and wasn’t super clean. The bed was fine, though a bit on the firm side, and the pillows were too flat. The layout was strange, especially in the bathroom—sitting on the toilet felt cramped, as you’re almost face-to-face with the wall. It was a corner room, so it seems they just tried to use up every inch of space. The fridge worked well, which was a plus. The location was convenient, and the check-in staff was really friendly and helpful. The person at check-in gave great directions to the parking lot behind the building. At checkout, there was no staff around, which felt a bit odd. I just left the key on the desk with another customer who was also checking out. It worked for a one-night stay, but I wouldn't have been comfortable staying longer without those issues being fixed.

Rooms are crazy expensive this time of year. The room was very small for the price, but it was clean and the air conditioner worked well. Those were my two biggest concerns. Manager at check-in was friendly and got my room key quickly. We needed a clean room to stay overnight for a birthday party we were attending and this room did the trick.
