The space is quite generous and comfortable, and the breakfast offerings are excellent. Overall, it has been a positive experience with no complaints.

We recently drove to Gainesville and had a reservation at this hotel. I left my wife and kids in the car while I went inside to check in. The front desk staff was polite, and I was given our room keys without issue. After grabbing our bags, we took the elevator up to the second floor. As soon as we stepped out, I noticed the hallway walls had multiple holes—possibly from ongoing renovations. When we reached our room, I tapped the key card, got the green light, but the door wouldn’t open. It finally budged after I applied heavy pressure, which seemed odd. Once inside, the room was completely dark. I reached for the light switch and found a note underneath that read, “Do not turn off the switch—it controls the refrigerator.” That felt unusual. I opened the blinds for some natural light and found a lamp on a tilted desk. I adjusted it and turned it on, then turned on another lamp nearby. That’s when we really saw the condition of the room: it looked extremely dingy and unclean. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke, as if someone had just been in there. The carpet, walls, and ceiling were all visibly dirty. The A/C unit had actual footprints on it, along with a layer of dust and dirt. In the bathroom, we found pubic hairs and cracked flooring—it was clearly not cleaned. At that point, I told my family we were leaving. We packed up immediately, went downstairs, and checked out. Friendly staff. Room very clean. Close to shopping.

Noisy guests all night long outside. Housekeeping did not come around one time in the 4 nights I stayed there. Desk staff was great and very polite. The room was clean when I entered it. The pool was clean. Just don’t expect to rest easy after a long trip with outside noise all night

I didn't like the transients,hookers,drug deals and illegals there.I witnessed it all and I would like my money back since we didn't even stay the second night because of the conditions.One of the top 3 worst HOTELS I EVER STAYED AT.

I would recommend anyone to stay here

Close to my event ,good water pressure but could have had another grab bar.will stay again when in town.

This property’s overall condition was terrible…we were first given a first floor room that was beyond filthy in every aspect ( mold, dust, dust bunnies, dead insets, ashtray smell, and 2 live roaches ). We notified the staff and they were understanding and accommodating. They moved us to the 3rd floor. We were told that the hotel was under new management and renovations were being made, and although we did notice that, it made us wonder why they would initially give us a substandard room - one that was obviously neither part of the recent renovation, nor has been cleaned… Even in the second room given to us, the pillows were mismatched ( and hardly could be called pillows ) and neither of the four had pillow cases. The iron’s cord was cut and had baked on crud on it. There was visible trash in the staircase the entire weekend as well. This was UF graduation weekend, and we were in Gainesville for my son’s graduation, so hotel rooms were tough to come by. We paid nearly $600 for the 2 night stay here, and felt robbed by the whole experience…. Seemed run down and sketchy area

The price was extremely high. The experience was truly bad. Dirty room, dirty bathroom, poor security: the access door to the third floor was broken. Dirty elevator, stairs, and hallways. Overall, the building needs a lot of repairs and maintenance. I do not recommend this hotel.

Hotel offered weekly stays. This needs to be reported by Hotels.com as to what "style" of hotel it is.

I will keep this as positive as possible. The sheets and towels were clean. The front desk staff was nice. That’s it!

Need to have a better description of hotel on your site. The Baymont offered weekly rates, and this usually does not go well with a quality stay. Which it did not. Better description of hotel would have been nice.

The shower head was missing. It was literally a pipe. The floors were stained. No blanket on the bed and bugs!

Floors in my room were filthy. After taking a shower and walking across the floow it felt a bit slick. I looked at the bottom of my feet and they were black. I took shows ,went back to shower off and put shoes on. Front dedk guy alexander was great . But housekeeping needs to do a better job.

A quiet clean room for 1 night.

Filthy floors. No basket for coffee maker. No tissues. Problems with smoke detector. Problems with TV.

Did not look like safe property and the rooms were not as advertised. We expected a better quality Hotel.

Our UF student lives very close by so we had high hopes for this to become our usual place. We have tried others nearby. On arrival, everything was fine, check in was great. Staff were helpful and nice. Upon going to our room, we were greeted with a smell that my husband could not quite place - was it residual tobacco? Mold? Not sure. I went to the bathroom and saw the many cigarette burns on the toilet seat, tub, etc. We then turned on some lights and found our fingers covered in dirt. Upon inspection, most surfaces had dust/dirt on them. The wall also had a strange smear. There was also a spot in the floor that your foot went down a bit - mushy might be a good description. But, it was late, the bed was clean, we aren't that picky so we went to bed. Breakfast was okay-ish. Check out was easy. I am not staying there again. PS- there were also many police cars/lights because something went down nearby so many guests were watching the action from the balcony.
