Comfort Inn Grantsville-Deep Creek Lake

I was stuck in a snow storm and the roads were horrible, its the only Hotel in the pass, on the site it said it took dogs, i have a yorkie and minature schnauzer, i had a wheelchair person traveling with me, it was 14 degrees out and no other options, when i went in after paying I asked about the pet fee, that it even said was ok, the sheet had a pet fee and he told me he couldnt rent me the room, unless the dogs stayed in the car. I advised what the website said, he said it was incorrect, I offered to pay a pet deposit and even offered to have him come check the room before and after checking out to see if my animals made a mess and I would pay. However, my dogs are both well trained and I had their cage to put them in. He still refused. The snow storm was not on the radar and it snowed 6 inches in less than 45 minutes. He advised me he turned away 2 other couples so he wasnt gojng to make an exception for me. I understand his concern, i understand the hotel might have different rules then what was on hotels.com. he did refund my money, so that was the one good thing, but overall, never again will i book a room at comfort suites. I had to continue to drive For about 30 miles at 15 miles an hour to be safe to find a hotel that would take dogs. A little grace in a snow storm would have been nice. There is a reason I dont even look to book hotels any longer when i travel.

Always enjoy this area

All was fine. Comfortable place getting what we paid for. Some things were outdated or in need of repair but everything worked as intended.

It was very noisy in hallway till about midnight

Desk clerk was very professional

Always welcomed at the front desk and never have any complaints about anything. Area feels safe and its quiet.

Only stayed one night, was traveling to my cousin's so I didn't get to do much but the bed was like sleeping on clouds got a good nights sleep away from home!

The staff was outstanding

Front desk was very rude paid for full day. We asked for 30min. She phoned us to the room and was shut at and said we have 5 minutes to get out. We went to reception and she was rude aswell and she thru the managers card at us. She gave us attitude when I ask for paper to do prints at business centre. This was unnecessary.

A fine place to stay when in the area

It was very clean,the staff was all very kind and helpful. I would diffinantly recommend to anyone.

Always have a comfortable and convenient stay here. It’s an older building that could use some updates, but has decent amenities and a good location right off the highway, make sure to walk over and try Katie’s Ice Cream right across the street!

Would not stay again, dingy, moldy, toilet leaks, loud air conditioner, small beds, limited breakfast. Staff was ok, some need to be trained in customer service & what they should not say to guests.
