Great location, very clean rooms. Didn’t try the restaurant but many options in the vicinity. Beach is public beach and hotel doesn’t have any beach chairs. Overall, great experience.

The property was well kept, beautiful, peaceful, safe. Excellent sites, shopping and entertainment all within walking distance. I felt very comfortable in the environment being by myself. I also took several tours, Pearl Harbor was memorable. The island tour was beautiful and mesmerizing. Both of the tour guides were remarkably knowledgeable about the history of the island and its people. The Luau was entertaining. I would definitely recommend the Hyatt Regency. My only negative comment would be is how the buses pick up the guest. It is like hearding cattle. I was down in the pick up area 20 minutes early and somehow still got missed for my pickup. I asked every driver about the tour finally one driver not mine call someone and they had already left. My driver said he call my name and I would beg to differ. However you can’t hear anything with all the busyness going on. Blyne Hoa was the consignor and he was great and very knowledgeable as was Jackie who had to reschedule my Laua. She was in contact with me every step of the way. Thanks to the Hyatt and their staff I had an amazing time in Waikiki.

Staff was nice and friendly. Parking was $60 and there was never parking so we had to valet park $70 a night. The rooms were outdated and older. The pool was for like 10 people super tiny, but beautiful view. Had to kill a huge roach!

Room was big, view as outstanding. Great location and amenities, but valet and parking are a nightmare. Tried to call ahead to get my car out of valet. Got a voicemail saying they weren’t talking calls ahead. The attendant didn’t even take my valet ticket for 10 minutes as she was completely overwhelmed. Then it took nearly 30 minutes to get my car. They also pulled someone’s car up and then lost the keys. After finally getting my car I went to self park in the same lot, none of my room keys worked so I had to get a ticket. Days later when I went to pay the ticket wouldn’t read. Went to valet and they gave me a different ticket and charged parking to my room, but the ticket she gave me didn’t work. I had to hit the call button to finally be let out. Oh and they put a note on my car saying that my jeep was sticking out too far in the compact space which was the only space available on the 8th floor of the garage.
The valet area isn’t big enough for this hotel so they are parking cars in the street.
If you can Uber to this hotel or self park or plan to wait a long time to get your car from the valet.

The hotel is located in the heart of Waikiki, and the convenience of this location was truly a jackpot. Although the pool was on the smaller side, we had the best beach in Hawaii right in front of us, which more than made up for it.
We were checked in just after midnight by James Yi at the front desk. Despite the late hour, he was incredibly enthusiastic and gave us the warmest welcome. Throughout our stay, whenever James saw us, he made a genuine effort to connect, assist us, and ensure our experience was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. His exceptional service was a standout moment of our trip and played a key role in our decision to join the hotel’s membership program.
This hotel not only offers an unbeatable location but also an outstanding level of hospitality. The staff’s friendliness, especially James’s dedication, made us feel right at home. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, every interaction reflected genuine care and professionalism. We highly recommend this property and look forward to returning. Five stars all the way!

Elevators took forever. Noise from other guests slamming doors every night. Our sink overflowing with black gunk. In short, it was ok. The people, shops, and location to the beach and shops were great.

Great rooms, lovely open area to have breakfast. Nice central Waikiki beach access.
Only downside was access to and from rooms via elevator was very slow, as they were usually very busy, especially morning and evenings
