This was my first stay at Moody Gardens. For what I needed, it sufficed. I was on a work trip and brought along my partner and daughter. While I was working, they enjoyed the amenities. They weren’t too impressed with the cafe food the first day, but the pizza and fries made up for it the 2nd day. My partner did develop a headache at one point and I went to the hotel store to get Tylenol. Many of their shelves were empty. Had to leave the hotel to stop by the nearby store for it. All in all, it was a good stay. If they worked on those little details, I’d give it 5 stars.

I was disappointed that the pyramids were not lit at night.

Had to call to get housekeeping to come. Nothing worked in the room. It’s a pretty hotel and room but ignore the hype. My elderly father also tripped this morning on a carpet strip and we are currently in the ER. The security guard that helped him lied saying he just “randomly” tripped on the carpet so they are not responsible. He tripped over the carpet strip that sticks out! I will be calling management later. Find somewhere else to stay.

Nice property. We stayed two nights right before the summer rush. We enjoyed the pool and the convenient location to the beach.

So we arrived and check in was fine. The room was nice and clean. The issue was with the food service and restaurant. They also had not one but 2 cheerleading camps going on at the same time. Staff was overwhelmed. Dinner one night was just a mess. They brought out some food while others were forgotten. We were there for 3 hours. We waited 30 minutes just to get the check. It would seem with approximately 500 12- to 16 year old at the hotel they would staff accordingly. Also at 10:30 pm we kept getting calls asking for room service. It was not pleasant at all, I never saw any kind of noticeable management. It looked like just employees trying to help. They have you check out at 11 am. With minimal staff and a very long and slow line. One person at the desk was not trained and the other person had to help with everything they did. I could not recommend this place at least during camps or a convention.

It is our second time visiting this Hotel and we loved it every time. Very clean, friendly staff, and the pool is great.

We went for my birthday to have pleasant time at Moody Garden Resort our stayed was on 06/06/25 weekend but ended up being terrible idea . Our biggest issue was that of elevators broke down over the weekend, 2 stop working only left 1 for everyone to use! This caused a big delays in getting people up to their rooms and down to lobby. It was nightmare; people were getting squeezed in to one elevator it was awful.. We were out in the pool where you’re not allowed to take food or drinks or ice chest, and their cash register went down, we couldn’t order anything or close out our tickets. Let just say!! I was very disappointed did not expect this in 5 stars resort. Won’t be staying here again.

Our bathtub was rusty and eaten away where you are supposed to sit, tiles and wallpaper were missing from areas of the bathroom, and our room smelled like pee. We also requested a roll-away bed because their website said they were available upon request. We were told we couldn't have one because we had two queen beds--their website does not say that in the verbiage. I would have booked a different hotel if I knew we wouldn't be able to get an extra bed, so I feel like it was false advertising. Overall, the stay was okay but somewhat disappointing with the amount of money we spent to stay for two nights ($600). I was also annoyed that someone brought their giant dog inside the outdoor pool area and tied it up on a leash right next to where I had my towels and purse....so when I went to grab my things, the dog started barking aggressively at me. I am beginning to wonder if our room smelled like pee because they are a "dog friendly" hotel now and don't properly sanitize rooms after a dog pees or poops on things. We still had a great time doing the attractions and the walking distance was convenient. But we were disappointed in the condition and changing policies of the hotel. :( I say go and visit it asap before it severely goes downhill even more.

Advertise as pet friendly but charge 125.00 for stay and you have no access to activities

Staff was great! Stains in the carpet, outdated technology, mold in the shower…not so great. Air on the lowest setting was still pretty warm, especially for summer.

Our family trip was excellent , very impressed that Moody goes above and beyond to provide activities for the family , the games on the terrace , the smores , the popsicles was very thoughtful and accommodating . We was very satisfied with the excellent accommodations !!
