Shilo Inn Suites Hotel - Ocean Shores

The view was amazing, the kids loved the pool, pet friendly, staff was very helpful and nice. You can clearly tell they have fell on some hard times but the staff tries very hard to be as accommodating and hospitable as possible which means more to me than it being outdated and a few amenities being down.

I WOULD stay here again... location is fabu... setting is fabu... But imagine getting to a hotel/motel room and finding ZERO soap in the room (none of any kind). There were precisely two towels in the room. Both little more than hand towels. There were also zero cups/glasses in the room upon arrival. I also never could get any air conditioning to work in my room at all. Luckily it was "the shoulder season" and I could open the deck door. Indeed you could go to the counter and request those items. I even saw lush large towels on the (front) counter (of the establishment) at various times (so often when I was leaving, vs. when returning to my room). The location is incredible for awesome sunsets, and amazing star-watching after dark as well as usual beach activities. DEER were feeding on the grass behind the hotel one morning. (DEER are all over Ocean Shores) I just think that... the "Shilo Inn" name should bring the minimum standards up to a level where at least SOME soap might be encountered upon first arrival in one's room. Imagine rushing to your hotel, merely to check in, and then you go look at the room, or drop bags, and use the bathroom & can't properly clean your hands right then. If that were the 'standard' all around, then OK, but nobody is wrong for anticipating soap in a room. (and it really is "what people reasonably expect" that is a seeming standard in this case) Despite that slip-up, this remains a great location and I really would stay there again.

I really liked the location, it was an older hotel, that showed, the staff was very helpful, that was great. The on-site restaurant was closed, that was a bummer. But overall a good stay.

Alot of dirt and dusty gummy bears in the air conditioner. Coffee pot no cups or coffee. No soap or shampoo or even towels. No restaurant or lounge and pool and exercise room closed. Definitely the worst run hotel i ever been to. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Its probably not going to make it much longer some locals thought it already closed down

Check-in was very slow, and we got the wrong room (no view) and had to switch. Staff was nice enough... The condition of the property has deteriore greatly arrive we stayed last: unkept outdoor areas, bird feathers and debris at entrances, out of order pool, work out room, ice machines, exits, entrances, no dining. It was a shame to see such a formerly grand place fall into such a state of disrepair. The view was fabulous, the balcony however was filled with large moss balls.

The room was dirty. Pool, fitness room and resterant were closed down for months. Really disappointed on how run down the place has gotten.

Great beach view and short walk to the beach. The room wasnt that clean. No tissues or extras that come with a nice room. TP was horrible. The restaurant, pool, fitness room were closed down. Really disappointed in the Shilo Inn it used to be a Fancy hotel and it definitely is not anymore.. The Newport Shilo is even worse if possible.

Broken coffee maker in room, no kleenex, no extra toilet paper. No mention of closed restaurant or pool prior to check in. I booked a king bed with ocean view, none available. Bag of trash left in hallway.

Is starting to look like it needs renovations inside and out. No usb charge points.

Restaurant was closed, pool and hot tub was closed, our room had no towels, no cups and no coffee. To top it off, my son (who’s in a power wheelchair) and I got stuck in elevator and had to use phone in elevator. Then they called back and stated they were told we got out of elevator. I told her we didn’t get out of elegant then staff got us down. Staff said someone earlier got stuck and did get out. It’s a huge hotel and we were told there was only 1 elevator. Staff was nice and it wasn’t her fault but very poor facility from last time I stayed there years ago.

There was no wash clothes or hand towels in my room. A coffee pot and kitchens with no cups, utensils or coffee! Tried to call front desk from room phone. Not even hooked up! Finally called and said they were out of all the above. If I wanted a decaf, they have a couple more left. They are doing laundry. I can come down and get what I want or need! Poor service! Kitchen area had crumbs from previous guests. Sofa looked as if a dog had peed on skirt! Filthy windows and deck. Hard to see ocean view for dirty windows. Not happy! Left early and returned home for a shower

Pool under maintenence, restaurant not open despite original reservation details stating both would be available. We even got an email the day before stating the pool would be open. Employee at check in not very sympathetic stating Expedia emailed out wrong information. Not sure how that's our fault? Balcony to ocean view was flooded and dirty. TV had only a few channels available and reception was grainy. Bed not very comfortable.

When you walk In you are greeted with friendly staff and it’s not stressful , room was beautiful , and large and the sea view is amazing . Plus the place is beautiful . The decor , the fish and you can tell the place is really loved by the staff and being taken care of . Have gone there quite a few times and never a bad experience . One of my favorite places to stay in wa . Won’t go anywhere else ❤️

Not being kept up. Restaurant and pool closed. Not even coffee

Our room has no towels no soap no cups fireplace fan not working pool and hot tub out of service and we had to go downstairs to pick up all that should been in room they said they couldn't bring it up to us

The best par was having the top floor room for a nice sun set and sun rise that was about it. the staff was nice and helpful but they can only do so much with what they have, upper management has failed to manage this property is probably do to budget issues.

Really rundown. Not enough towels, cups, coffee Pretty sad
