Sonder by Marriott Bonvoy South Wabash Apartments South Loop

I needed a place to stay that was close to the convention center. This definitely met that need. Upon arrival the room was nice but appeared a little worn with scuffs on the walls and just not as pristine, additionally the unit smelled like it had been cooked in recently so there was a left over Asian smelling remnant. The bed was hard and uncomfortable and the train noise very loud that is not disclosed. The unit I had was very spacious with a very loft vibe. It was nice but it just felt a little run down. Also there is not much round late at night so if you check in later you will have to uber. It wasn’t the worst experience and it wasn’t the best. I was expecting more. Some of the people staying there seemed a bit sketch but as the week went on I saw more professional business class type guests.

We had a very pleasant stay :) Check in was easy and all the information was provided by email. Located in a quiet and great area(seemed like a lot of families nearby) and was close to the bus stop/train! Very clean and spacious apartment with great lighting and views from the large windows. Only complaint is that there is no front desk and minimal space to store bags if you arrive early. Would recommend !! 9/10

Makes for a comfortable stay in the city. Easy to have breakfast tin the room and come back for a break . Spacious too!

I absolutely llloovveeedddd our stay! It was a little difficult to find and parking was kind of annoying but the place was in the perfect spot. It was so clean and spacious, the balcony was beautiful and we loved alll of the windows. Absolutely blown away, will definitely stay here again!

seriously I let you know I booked a room with a patio 3 times, I never received any reply about that. so communications sucks. By the way the building only had two patios total on the top floor and those all look like two bedrooms. So your misrepresenting your product.

Decent studio apartment with a well stocked kitchen. Secure building, easy access with codes. Walkable to train and soldier field. Comfy bed, decent sized bathroom. Some noise in hall (doors, people talking) as expected but otherwise fairly quite building. We could hear the train but it didn’t disrupt us.

This place was horrible. The only times I managed to speak to a human employee were when I had to convince them to give me the room code and whe one came to kick me out of the room. The room had a loud boiler noise CONSTANTLY. The bed gave me severe back pain from just a nap (and I dont get back pain easily). There were no blackout curtains, just transparent blinds, despite an entire wall window so lights came in through the night and other building rooms could see in, not to mention the bright lights in my face all night from outside. The only privacy was the bathroom, otherwise people outside and in other buildings could see in easily, especially at night. I got almost no sleep while I was here. I asked about hot water for the provided tea and coffee and the app chatbot said to use the electric kettle. There was no kettle of any kind in the room, I had to go out and buy something just to have hot tea. I complained about the noise and window shades and they only got back to me about it several hours after I checked out

The room was prettt clean but there were several dusty areas. The beds were not comfortable and very low to the ground. The sofa sleeper was only comfortable if you slept on top of a comforter.

It was clean and neat place! We love the location and easy to park on the street!! However!!!! You can hear the train all night long… I can barely sleep..

Beautiful room with full kitchen, washer/dryer with a wonderful amazing city view. Quiet area felt safe. I will definitely come back to this location.

No privacy, the curtains were see-through. Didn't sleep. The bed may as well have been the floor. Rock hard. The underside of the bed was filthy. The hardwood needed to be swept. There was hair, dust, and food under the bed. Bathroom fan & lights were shorting out. The TV was not functional—no local channels. Couch was a mini loveseat. Hard as the bed. No hotel amenities. No ice. Slow response, no front desk. If you need any towels, you will get them the next day. Huge pain. Just don't do it.

Parking nearby was disappointing. Free parking was nearly impossible to find, we were afraid of getting ticketed or towed the entire time. The sheet on the pull out also had a blood stain
