Windmill Suites Surprise - Phoenix, Ascend Hotel Collection

I did book here because it had a pool and a hot tub. I was very disappointed when we got here and the hot tub is not working. I had knee surgery awhile ago and the hot tub is excellent therapy. Should not have it listed on your sites!

The room was nice and clean. My only complaint really was breakfast. It wasnt that good. I stayed 5 days and went down to get breakfast 3 of those mornings. Twice no one was there to serve. We waited 15 mins both times. The food was out. People were eating but we were unable to get food.

Our room was a suite. Very comfortable and spacious. The walls seemed uninsulated. You could here every door shut. If anyone talked in the hallway you could hear that too. We still slept well

No in room safes. Hot tub not working. Very nice room. Good breakfast buffet.

A pretty involved way to get there from a major thoroughfare, but a quality experience.

There was trash and items left outside in the parking lot and next to the building. Several entry ways the doors and locks need to be replaced. There were no vending machines on the 2nd floor near elevator B.

The layout of the room was nice with a separate lounge seating area and small kitchenette. But the building was old and the plumbing system was in poor condition. Two mornings, there was either NO hot water coming out of the tub or sinks, or it was such a tiny trickle that it didn't come out the shower head b/c the pressure was too low. Came home mid day to shower and plumbers had entire building shutoff so had to shower in pool. Next day was marginally better, but I was told that the low pressure was common for the third floor - but it was hardly usable, so I took a bath instead (first one in several years). I'm not too picky of a person, but I expect (and need) my shower in the mornings. All the other building oldness, I could live with. It was relatively clean but plumbing was shot. Toilete also didn't always flush fully because of low pressure. Staff said they were "working on a room credit" of some sort but couldn't give me an idea of what it might be since I booked through Expedia. I still don't know and I've been home for 3 days. They once offered to switch rooms, but they never followed up. I was there for a tennis tournament so really didn't want to be bothered, but would have been nice to rely on a hot shower. Cook staff for the morning breakfast was very kind and maid staff was also kind. Overall, the people were good, but hotel was sub-par. Pool was warm, but hot tub was cold, which was disappointing since I was looking for warmth after no shower

We love to stay in this hotel very convenient good breakfast and good costumer service. Its clean. And friendly staff.

The exterior ex hallways, elevators, stairwells very dated and worn, however the room itself was nice. The AC only allows you to go to 70! This is AZ come on! Free breakfast two thumbs down!

Overall very nice property at a very reasonable price. Convenient location.
