The location of the hotel is great. A lot of food, shopping and sightseeing options close by. My room was very clean and quiet. The best part of the stay was the staff. They went out of their way multiple times to help me plan my trip to Sapa. I really can’t say enough about them. I would highly recommend staying here.

This is probably my 5th time at Authentic Hotel and it's always a pleasure to stay here. The facilities do have to have another facelift though. Room 804's Cotto basin is cracked and would be good to have it replaced. Other than that, Authentic is situated at the most convenient location at the Old Quarters, it is my default hotel of choice every time I visit Hanoi with my family.

They did not honor my room reservation. They instead put me up in adjacent hotel that had lower rates on Expedia. They rejected a refund request for the difference in Rate that I initiated with Expedia. Just not fair.

Spent a wonderful Christmas weekend at the Authentic Hanoi from Saturday 24th to Monday 26th December 2022. This is actually my 3rd time at the hotel. I was here the first time 9 years ago and subsequently I housed my parents at the hotel when they came over to visit my in-laws. For this trip I splashed on the lake view suite, and I was not disappointed. My wife loves the double wash basins and the bathtub. The hot water is sufficient and comfortable. First impressions were good. The room is large clean and well equipped. The hotel service personnel deliver excellent service throughout! The Breakfast service serves adequate western and local fare at their rooftop restaurant. My wife is very pleased with the Pho Ga. The restaurant offers a great view around the Old Quarter and Ho Hoan Kiem area. My son also loves the lake view suite and hopes to return again to the same room. I highly recommend booking the lakeside suite for a spectacular view of the city. I will definitely book Authentic Hanoi hotel again when I return to Hanoi! The shower compartment's tap head should be changed to one with a better grip as when our hands are soapy, its very hard to grab the tap head. Also it appears the soap dish no longer installed and we had to place the shower gel bottles on the floor.

The room i booked and the room given was totally different, i booked a room with window but the room given me was no window and AC was bad. I was literally sweating next day morning and asked them to cancel my booking, then they agree to change my room. Beware of the Front Desk Guy who manages the hotel in the night time. I asked for room service food at around 11 PM and he didn't mention he has to order outside and given me a offer that only pizza is available and he charged me V.Dong 450,000 for medium size pizza. Next day when i informed this to the receptionist she surprise and call the manager to sort out it, i got back V.Dong 150,000 after few arguments. Not trust-able place , i will not book this hotel in the future

We stayed in a few hotels in Hanoi and honestly thought there was better value to be found elsewhere. We were only at the Authentic one night - location excellent, rooms and breakfast very so so. There was also a very expensive cigar bar upstairs. A bit out of character wit( the rest of the hotel.

I liked the location of this hotel. The rooftop restaurant and bar are very appealing; however, I believe that the menu needs to change in order to attract more guests. The menu options are heavy, too westernized and pricy. Prior to booking our stay I read many reviews about the beds being uncomfortably hard. I cannot confirm that. Our bed and bedding was very comfortable. However, I found the room to have a slightly moist/stale smell which was probably caused by the air quality in Hanoi. I found that the curtains were dusty and the corners of the rooms not well swept but other than that, the room was clean and tidy.
