I booked the same room at Dong Kinh Hotel at Q 5, but it was cheaper than last year. The reception staff were very friendly and kind, especially a young girl named “Hieu” who was very polite. The highlight is that she speaks English very well, which allows some customers who don’t understand Vietnamese to understand some of the hotel services they want to know about. Because the hotel room price is cheap and there are many Vietnamese food restaurants nearby, and Q5 has always been known as a food paradise in Ho Chi Minh City, I highly recommend this hotel! The only thing I liked/chose this hotel is because it is near my relative's place. The side building where my room was old and everything is old like broken bathroom door. I will NOT recommend this hotel but I believe all the 3* hotels in VN are pretty much the same.

Stayed in room 404 in B building for 4 nights. Location was good with many food vendors and street food available. Markets nearby. Elevator was tiny and slow. Staff were helpful. Rooms were small but fairly clean. Small bathroom with weak showerhead. 2 in 1 shower and bathtub so can be difficult for elderly guests to climb over. Clean towels and hairdryer. Good comfortable bed. Furniture were a bit old and some had stains. Internet speeds 12mbps which is very slow. Good air conditioning. Breakfast buffet was ok. Had pho and congee with salted egg. Fried egg is available on request. Toast with jam and butter. Banh cuon is there everyday with ham. Orange juice and coffee. Cheap laundry service is right across the street.

I made two reservations for two rooms from date May 16-19. When we got into the hotels find the hotel rooms and amenities are dirty ,dark small and with bad smell. So terrible. Every thing is not the same as we saw from the picture from your booking web site. Though we had checked in, but we immediately moved out and stayed in another hotel.I did asked for the refund and the live agent from Expediate did promised me to talk to the hotel and get some refund as a compensation for loss within 48-72 hours. However until today June 6 I still have not got any response. Expediate is a sound booking agent for the hotel, it’s hard to believe has a bad service like this. I and my travel companions will never trust and book the hotels from you again. I hope to Get the response and solutions on my loss soon.

Location is very close to a lot of restaurants and markets. Staff are friendly and nice. The room was a little run down (our sink had a massive crack), still reasonable. However, there was construction or maintenance during the time of our visit which woke us up every morning.
