Draco-Thang Long Hotel

The staff was great and friendly. Nice greetings. Clean place to live, the buffet was good.

Hotel was a little far out but Taxis cheap so no problem Only the one night as going on to Halong Bay.Ha Phong not really a place to stay

Further out than we realised, but not the hotel's fault. Staff were helpful, but fairly sure we got rorted on the minibar.

For the cost, a serviceable place to say if you need to overnight in Hai Phong. The overall appearance is worn and dingy, with stains and scuff marks everywhere. Room reeked of smoke but was clean. Staff had very minimal English, which is not necessarily a problem, just be prepared. Don't be fooled by the "spa" next-door - though it was an interesting experience!

It was a very relaxed break from Hanoi. Loved the floral areas along the main road. Overnight stay did not give us enough time to enjoy this city.

The good: The rooms are comfortable, very spacious, spotless clean, good views (at least from my room in the 7th floor). Good desk and working and sitting areas. The bad: The colors and decor are very boring and there is not even one piece of artwork hanging from the walls.

Grand entrance compensates for the dark, not-so-nice surroundings. Although, very close to restaurants, bars and cafes. Room was very spacious with huge king-sized bed.

Bell boy was helpful and friendly. The Hotel is too run down and in bad conditions to be a 4 stars Hotel. We have booked total 2 rooms, checked in late and asked to keep a room with late checked out at 3pm so that we can fresh up. We haved email the Hotel directly one week before our arrival but no reply from them and asked again upon checking in. But our request was declined.

Hai phong is a small town not much to see or do. We only come to visit family. Check in was straight forward, not very friendly. There was no one at the front desk during check out. We found the person sleeping on a couch in the lobby!

We didn't expect anything like this for the price! Actually a business hotel, so very well appointed (a huge room, and the biggest bed we have ever seen!), but we felt comfortable. Good buffet breakfast.

The breakfast service could improve by having enough food out. 45" left and often food ran out. Sign said breakfast till 10AM. Resataurant said it's only till 9AM. False advertising. Topical of the Vietnameese culture. Need to improve hospitality service .

The hotel was very clean and modern. The breakfast was the best we had during our two week stay in Vietnam. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a great location for getting to Cat Ba Island and was also close to the train station for our next destination.

Draco Thang Long Hotel is a great hotel, clean, and comfortable. The decor is a bit much, but not unlike some other hotels in the area. Staff was very friendly, and breakfast buffet was pretty great. I loved that it came with a full bathtub. It was a bit expensive for Vietnam, but I think it's reflected in the quality of the hotel. I do have a major complaint which is that when we left early morning and asked the front desk to call a taxi for us. Instead of a taxi we got some personal driver, who wanted to charge us more then double what we paid coming into the city. We were super annoyed by that, but that doesn't negate an otherwise good stay. Just make sure to make sure you're getting a reasonably priced taxi if you ask for one.

The hotel is very beautiful, clean, and comfortable. If you want to take a boat to Cat Ba Island, it is very convenient to the marina.

This hotel is perfectly located, at walking distance fro the pier to take the fast boat to Cat Ba. We took it for one night and it offers a great comfort for a very decent price.

Only stayed one night before catching ferry to Cat Ba but hotel was very good, large clean rooms and nice bed linen. It is very close to the port so good location for that but as a result not the best neighbourhood and rooms over looking the port were quite noisy till late and from early morning. As for a town view and should be fine. Good breakfast.

Interesting place. Well located in the old town, near the ferry to Cat Ba, it's an impressive building that looks 5 star. However, it feels empty. Reception was not well staffed and English was a struggle, but the staff were helpful. Room was large but no decorations. Corridors felt rather void. Buffet breakfast was okay. Overall, a strange place. Certainly not a bad stay, but it could be so much better and would really benefit from some top hotel expertise and good interior design. Lots of potential.

Pretty odd hotel in what may perhaps be the strangest city in Vietnam. Bad carpet, stains on the seat in our room, brilliantly mediocre breakfast. Room didn't have a shower curtain in it and the staff did offer to change our room, but we declined, due to our exhaustion from travel.

This is a relatively new hotel. The gym has only 4 machines and isnt airconditioned. There is a cupboard to put your clothes and it has a safe deposit box.the breakfast is average, it couldnt reallye a 4 star breakfast more like 3star at the very most. The staff are always friendly and try to meet your needs and thats a plus. The room service is prompt. They have a laundry service if you need it. Its a nice stay but there is nothing much to do in hai phong unless you are visiting friends or family. The hotel lifts are very fast and functional. I had a room that faces the cityso its nice.
