Beautiful hotel, amazing history and architecture. However the stay is only as enjoyable as the customer service experience. I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service experience. It was the worst customer service I have ever had at any hotel and I stay in Fairmont hotels about 25 nights a year.
I had tried emailing the hotel to modify my bookings prior to the stay, I never received any responses. I called and was told upon arrival they would be happy to assist me. When I arrived and approached front desk services I was told it was too late to modify my bookings. I needed to cancel one room completely and they would not cancel it for me, even when explaining I was told I would be able modify the booking upon arrival by a representative. We ended up paying full price for a room that no one checked into with no form of compensation. Hotel staff apologized and said sorry there was nothing they could do. I would recommend visiting this hotel and experiencing it, however due to the customer service I would encourage you to stay elsewhere.
