Loved the hotel

I had a wonderful stay at Buffalo Mountain Lodge in Banff. The hotel staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit. The property was well maintained, and the location was convenient for enjoying Banff and the surrounding area. I especially enjoyed the cozy fireplaces, the hot tub, and the hotel restaurant, the Prow. These touches made the stay feel relaxing and memorable. Overall, I had a great experience and would happily recommend this hotel to others visiting Banff.

Bed was comfortable and the fireplace was a nice feature.

Everything was great except the actual room we stayed in. We booked 2 queen bed room. Although we booked 8 months in advance, we felt like we were given the last one left in the whole property. The location was cramped with no view and felt like trapped in a basement.

We just returned from a 7 night stay at the buffalo mountain lodge. We loved it. The staff is top notch and down to earth folks. Everyone treated us with respect and a friendly smile. The room was very comfortable and clea. We will definitely stay on out next visit.

We couldn’t recommend this place enough. We had the best time here, the staff were all lovely and the setting is incredible. Will definitely come back!!!

We loved our stay at Buffalo Mountain Lodge. The property was very nice, and we enjoyed the onsite restaurant quite often. We saw elk every morning.

Very nice mountain lodge with an outdoor hot tub and a fireplace in every room. Very helpful staff and complimentary tickets for the short shuttle into the centre of Banff. Only complaint was that parking was a challenge. You were lucky to find a spot or as many did, you had to make your own spot by squeezing in somewhere without blocking anyone.

The location is perfect, it's on the bus line for downtown.

Our to go breakfast was not ready when agreed. They came to clean at 8:15 (we were asleep) and they never came back. The staff was attentive to our other requests (additional coffee pods and bankets) parking was a challenge. The staff was very friendly and sweet, but not trained well.

We had a Wonderful Room which included a patio overlooking the Rockies, mule deer and ground squirrels were all around us, very gentle animals, a wood burning fireplace with wood set up each day for a fire and all you needed to do was light a match, the bathroom included a clawfoot tub and a shower and was very spacious. The beds had soft linens and were very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here❤️and I can’t forget to mention their Restaurant The Prow, we are there for dinner once and breakfast! Great food!

Perfect stay for our family. Room had 2 queens and a sofa bed. Prow has an amazing breakfast. Fitness center was adequate for a quick workout. Lobby with fireplace and bar is a great hangout. Very close to downtown Banff but also out of the way.

Beautiful and charming! Great location! Loved it! Look forward to going back!

Enjoyed a lovely stay there.

Beautiful setting with lovely cabin style rooms. Comfortable beds. Clean, great bathroom. A kettle would be appreciated. They supply a fridge. Restaurant on site. Nice food. Australian staff was nice to see. Wildlife outside. Good position slightly out of Banff busy hub. We were given free bus transport and it only takes about 5 minutes on the bus into Banff central area. Would love to visit for longer next time. Really enjoyable.

Such a lovely place. Perfect location, 20 mins walk into town or jump on the free bus. Hot tub was a lovely perk to use at the end of a long day hiking. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Food was really good and not over priced.

The room was very cozy and the claw foot bath welcome after a long travel day. We especially enjoyed the onsite restaurant that had tasty and interesting local food. On our last evening there the elk were feasting on the grass surrounding the lodge. Transportation by a short bus ride is very convenient to downtown Banff for those who don't have cars or don't want to conpete for parking in town. The lobby was very comfortable for our wait for our ride after check out.

Probably great in winter but would not recommend in summer. No A/C (it was 23 C the day we arrived) and the bedroom window wouldn’t open. Staff were unable to fix or offer solution.

The property is very dated. No air conditioning.....room was 79 deg. at night. Also, window coverings were very dated. Plumbing also very old.
