Pool is essentially in the lobby so you are greeted with heat and humidity, parking garage spots are so tight you only open doors on one side. Rooms looked to be partially updated but were still overall just kind of grimy, we paid extra for ocean front, view was great, but Atlantic Ave is full of screaming, revving engines and just beyond loud until 2-3a at least. Windows are not double pane, so even from 7th floor, it was like they were on our balcony. Main door to our room you can see out around the edges and hear everything. Staff was great. But for what we paid for this room, very disappointed and won’t be back.

I liked the room has kitchen. If balcony was there I more like it.

4th floor ice machine was broke all week and soda machine had no soda.

Do Not stay at this hotel very unprofessional and dirty. Photos are fake especially the pool one.

If your looking for a place crash and you plan on spending all of your time either in the beach or out doing stuff, this place is fine. They don't offer regular house keeping and if you want to new towels, you have to exchange them yourself on the 4th floor. I didn't have any issues with my room, but I overheard others complaining about room and maintenance issues. The elevators aren't programmed correctly so they will stop to pick up people who want to go down but the elevator continues to go up and vice versa. The parking garage is tight with giant pillars in the middle of the driving lane. If you have a large pickup or SUV, you might struggle to find parking. The beach is a short walk across the street and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

The overall upkeep, cleanliness and maintenance is lacking. My room needed a deep cleaning. The bathroom had a rusty drop ceiling with mismatched tiles. The lock beeped constantly for no reason. The toilet seat was chipped and deteriorating. The floor was dirty. The pillows were flat. I have lots of pictures.

Excellent customer check-in. People seem to genuinely enjoy working here - and for a holiday weekend that's saying something! Parking was easy. Even though our room wasn't ready when we arrived (early - like 12 noon - I get it), the front office lady checked us in, welcomed us, gave us our parking pass, explained that we could access all the amenities (exercise room, pool, etc.). I like that the pool has designated adult swim times (2 hours in morning; 2 hours in evening), so it's not overrun with unsupervised kids all day. The jacuzzi/hot tub area was a little small (ie, six adults max - and that was elbow-to-elbow). Location is not directly on Boardwalk, but we knew that beforehand. We Website provided accurate information. We had an ocean view balcony and were able to see the beach, boardwalk, Waterman's seafood restaurant. Even saw the sunrise from the balcony. Room was very clean and well furnished. Lots of shelves and cubbies and even a rack for shoes in the closet. We didn't use the kitchenette, but it was well-stocked and included dish soap, sponge, dishwashing pod. There is a linen exchange service on the 4th floor during business hours if you need to swap out towels. They also advertised a complimentary laundry service on the 4th floor, but we did not use it. Ice machine was full loaded, though a bit far from our room. The Roma Pizza restaurant in the lobby was great - good food, wine, beer, friendly service, plenty of clean seating indoors and out.

Loved not having to drive to go eat so many great restaurants within walking distance. Staff was great and answered any questions I needed answered.

I booked in October '24 for the Point Break Festival in June '25. The pictures advertised a balcony but I realized in March that the listing actually says "oceanview" so I called to confirm whether or not my room had a balcony, the woman emphatically said yes, I had reserved a balcony room. On June 12th I called again to ask about parking. I double checked about my view, asking if we could see the beach from the balcony. She gave a wishy-washy "kind of". We check in, I pay the balance, and get on the elevator that we would soon find out is constantly malfunctioning (no inspection certificate posted in either one.) We get to the room and there is a sealed window overlooking the parking lot next door. No balcony and barely a view of water 3 blocks down. I spoke with the supervisor who told me that my room was changed in April in order to accommodate my reservation. She said that means they probably didn't have the room available when I booked it but that usually an oceanview balcony would change to a marina view balcony so she wasn't sure what happened and could only apologize. I think I locked in a good price on a room with a loophole that allowed them to deceive me. I called twice to clarify the details of the room so this is a reminder to get everything in writing. Obviously, the whole beach was booked for Point Break. No manager, no refund. I was left with no options and walked away from this experience just knowing that I'm not the first person they've done this to.

The room was extremely comfortable. The view from the balcony was incredible! Customers service amazing! First time visiting Virginia and definitely completed my expectations!

Bad customer service, got to the hotel sheets were dirty"looks like Bodily fluids discharge", floor was not cleaned either, on the balcony, there was opened alcohol bottles, soap dispenser in the bathroom were empty, looks like they never cleaned the room although we checked in late, i was so disgusted with whole stay, they wouldn't not change the room, customer service were rude and took forever to at least change the bed sheet and clean the floor

Bathrooms very dated and moldy. Not bad for a low budget stay for a couple of days.

Smell in hotel was like walking into panda express with the smell throughout hotel both nights. Elevator is horrendous and wait times are insane- yes they have stairs but when you are on 5th floor with a cart full of luggage thats not acceptable.

We stayed at this hotel for an event we came to town for. Overall, the cleanliness of Ocean Key was not my favorite. Many of the sheets / towels had stains, which should be thrown out if the stains won’t come out, and be replaced. Our second day, our door wouldn’t lock. I told the front desk, and maintenance came right up to fix it, which was great. It was odd to have the pool and front desk area combined. It’s really humid in that area. The staff was fairly nice / personable, but I don’t believe we would stay here again.

The pictures that they posted on the website, Expedia look nothing like the actual property. It is rundown and pretty dirty. There’s no housekeeping I had to clean my own room and change my own sheets.

Carpet needs to be replaced staff need to check appliances to make sure they arent broken.Elevators are very slow
