Stayed over one night whilst attending a conference near the University Hospital of Wales. The location was perfect for this venue. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of the breakfast and the friendliness of the staff. The hotel was very clean but was let down by the dated carpets in the corridors and some public spaces. Would stay again.

The star rating for this hotel was 4 stars - so we expected quite a high standard. We were disappointed when we didn’t find that to be the case. We wanted a double bedded room but were given a twin bedded room. There was no wardrobe for clothes - just a rail. On the way to the room, something looking like crisps had been spilled on the carpet. It was still like that hours later. We had breakfast during our stay. We were told that breakfast started at 7am. On the first day, we arrived at just after 7am to find the dining room was already nearly full. The orange juice had already run out! The cooked breakfast was good with a good standard choice at the buffet. On our last evening we were unable to park in the disabled / blue card bays. My wife is a Blu card holder because she is registered with serious sight impairment. Not all cars in the blue card bats were displaying a blue card. So, for us, not the best of stays. We were expecting better.

Staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel location was ideal for the university campus. Air conditioning in the room was impossible to work out, extractor fan in the bathroom was noisy and ran all night. Food was ok but limited vegetarian choice.

Ask for special occasion had nothing!

Super welcoming staff on arrival! Had my room ready quickly! Breakfast was brilliant selection of healthy and treat options 24/7 gym was great to have even if a little tired and needing some TLC - always people in there and with only treadmill there was a queue - just glad to see something well used Ideal location for me - quiet but good motorway connections

The staff were lovely and attentive. Our room was spacious and in good condition, with almost everything we needed. There is a bus stop into the city centre nearby which was helpful for us. We enjoyed breakfast too. The coffee pod machine in our room was leaking, and we were onky provided with decaf pods which was a shame. There was also only one robe provider despite it being a booking for two people.

Room was very comfortable. Great to be able to check-in early and departure being 12 noon. Towels were changed daily which was lovely.

Room - nice and big and clean. Staff - ignorant and incompetent, food (after a 40 minute wait) awful, beer - (when you get served) overpriced. Local food delivery service - very good.

Room was clean and tidy. Could have done with more pillows but that was a personal preference and could have been addressed if I had asked for more so no reflection on the hotel. Breakfast was good, hot and plenty of choice. Items were replenished quickly and staff very efficient. Only complaint would be that there was not always someone at the welcome desk when assistance was required but when there was someone they were very helpful.

We had a water leak in the bathroom, water all over the floor - reported it - no maintenance staff over the weekend so had a wet bathroom all weekend

Moldy areas of window frame and the place smells musty as soon as you walk in. My son was having coughing fits. Staff was mediocre (I get that English people aren't as warm and fuzzy as other people, but...I didn't feel like anyone was happy we were spending money there). Great price, though, and beds are 8/10 comfy.

Lovely stay and

The room was cold and unheated upon arrival and it took a long time for the heater, (which had no instructions) to take the chill off. Outside temp was about 5 degrees. There was also only one pillow per person provided. We requested an additional heater and pillows for the second night. Other guests had the same issues. Nonetheless, staff were very helpful and courteous, breakfast options were good and beds were comfy.

Room was freezing cold, AC unit no display and unresponsive. Told reception in the morning but on evening return nothing had been done. It was then fixed whilst out in the evening. No compensation offered.
