This hotel is just a Home Run! Great decor, modern but warm; great location, just take the staircase out the back courtyard to the Old Town. Excellent breakfast in a lovely setting. Staff are fabulous - helpful in every request. Nicolas even phoned our cruise line to find out the exact docking location, which had changed since our previous notification. You will love this hotel.

The staff, particularly Natalia, were incredibly helpful. Breakfast was wonderful with plenty of selection. Very close to Old Town although it was 58 steps down. Remember you must come back up! We opted out of room cleaning for our short stay and we were rewarded with refreshments. Excellent idea. Would definitely recommend.

We loved our stay at the Passage. It was very clean, well organized and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. While the suite didn't have a separate room, it was nice how far away the sofa bed was from the actual bedroom and, with a sound machine, we were able to feel like we had two separate spaces. The bathrooms are very nice, but there were a couple quirky things 1. This would *not* be a suitable option for friends or multiple couples that like privacy. There is only a clear glass door for the shower room and it never fogs over so everyone who walks by has a clear view of the person bathing. 2. The toilet is in a separate room from the tub, sink and shower, so you have to go into a separate room to wash your hands Overall, though, we would return to the Passage in a heartbeat--just a few small things that might have been nice to know in advance :)

The Basel card was a nice touch. Discounts and free public transport around the city!

An excellent location for visiting Basel - close to the centre and accessible to the train and bus station (with airport links). The rooms were well designed and set up, clean and new-looking, and quiet, staff were very friendly and helpful. I will be booking The Passage for my next trip

The staff at the Passage were friendly and accomodating. The location was perfect for us - close to the train station, restaurants and shopping. The hotel was clean and comforatable. We enjoyed our stay and would go back.
