Very run down old hotel, smells old Rooms temperature control is locked, beds are not comfortable

Stayed in the basic room with two double beds. Important Note: You will be made to pay a $500 deposit fee (refunded back to you upon checkout) when paying with debit, so, stick to credit if you plan on staying here. Pros: Affordable price for your stay • Twenty-four hour reception staff who were friendly and knowledgeable • Room was clean • TV with basic channels • Hair dryer provided in the bathroom • Close to the West Edmonton Mall, as well as other notable restaurants and stores • Good parking • On-site restaurant and bar • Free Wi-Fi Cons: Slightly uncomfortable bed with rock hard pillows • Yellowy, chipped, old tile flooring and just starting to peel wallpaper in the bathroom • The water in the shower/tub was very finicky; had to keep fiddling with it to get it so I wouldn't get burnt or freeze • The Stardust Games Room outdoor entrance had a lot of cigarette butts, and was dirty looking • Walls are somewhat thin; you could hear the occasional guest in the hallway pretty clearly and housekeeping in other rooms • If you plan on staying long, bring your own shampoo, conditioner, etc; the ones provided are only miniatures

Didn’t have much of a bar in the room. Just coffee. Connor water available to me in the room.

The property could do better by making it clean and repairing some Damaged areas. Also, offer of drinking water.

No A/C in the room. Called staff in and they turned off the heater and brought us a small desk fan. We were told “You have a fan anyway so it shouldn’t be warm.” There were three of us in the room with one small desk fan. We all had a hard time sleeping.

Bare basic stay - room was clean. You had to walk through a plume of smokers to the enter the lobby. Only one of two elevators working- heat was at 30°C in the room and wasn’t turned down after requesting it to be lowered- they said it’s on a central system.

The hotel had a sketchy vibe as soon as we arrived.

Rooms are dated. Had noisy neighbors who got kicked out but it took 2 hrs for security to wait for them to leave the whole time they were loud and keeping people awake at 2am. Hotel management wasn,t willing to offer anything in compensation.

Surprised that my booked stay has no available per friendly room. Glad that the front desk staff was able to provide us with alternate room.

Room was clean, bed comfy, and staff were very friendly! Only nitpick is I wish there was USB charging plugs, as well as a power plug near the desk for a laptop.

Hotel is rough but quiet enough. Scolding hot or ice cold shower was my main issue. Cheap enough to stay a night.

Toilet was broken. Stains on sheets

Rooms were in very rough condition. Flooring was all scratched up. Microwave was cracked along seam. Beds weren't made, covers were just thrown over. Coffee wasnt replaced, floor was very dirty, sticky. Room was cleaned but i had to wash the stickiness off the floor, it was extremely dirty. Curtains wouldn't close all the way. Water went hot and cold when you were showering.

Great staff! The hallway had people screaming/fighting on our last night. Reported it to the front desk but not sure if security came in. The fight took longer.
