Staff were very attentive, polite and explained what needed to know, checked us in very quickly and show to our room. Room was clean and stocked with pkenty of tea, coffee etc. Bed was very comfortable and nice fresh bedding and towels, toiletries were supplied. Food in the restaurant was very nice and a good price and generous portions.

It’s a little tired but the staff on the whole are friendly. The food is okay and the room was comfortable although one side of the bed sloped towards the outer edge! The heating was on as well, despite the radiator set to ‘off’.

Excellent food for a smallish pub.

Excellent hotel , friendly staff and locals with very good food . The turkey and ham pie was particularly good.

Welcoming pub with accommodation. The homemade pie that I had for my evening meal was excellent, and breakfast was served quickly and with a smile. The bedroom had air conditioning, which on a weekend when temperatures were 30 degrees plus made a huge difference to the stay.

Room was air-conditioned and cool when we arrived on a very hot day. The evening menu at the pub has a wide choice and the food and drinks were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend

Nice country pub, room for solo occupant just right with comfortable bed, although would have liked a chair rather than stool. Good sized shower. Tv had internet connection. Good meals without being fancy and interesting beers

Excellent little get away , great staff and breakfast

Lovely to see a proper village pub so busy on a couple of weekday nights in Mid-January. And quite rightly so - friendly staff, friendly locals and friendly guests. Breakfasts were great, dinners delicious and very reasonably priced (wife said the Rib-eye steak was the best 'pub steak' shed ever had and my chicken goujons were fantastic.

Bedroom very clean and bed really comfortable. Shower excellent, shower cream & body lotion, fluffy white towels hairdryer all in room. Tea & coffee AND hot chocolate, BISCUITS & enough milk. Just as it should be everywhere. Breakfast excellent thanks Lea, superb. All staff very welcoming, polite, friendly & knew what they were doing.

A genuine country pub, very welcoming ,good food and all the rooms have air-con.

This place was a great little find. Good size room, air con in the room, with all the facilities. The pub served great food, it was all not expensive.

Stayed for 2 days on a business trip. Friendly staff and locals. Good affordable food. Would definitely stay again if working in the area.
