A great to stay even when under construction. The workout center is fantastic! No wait for breakfast. Lovely grounds

Generally a wonderful hotel with amazing gym and leisure facilities. We kayaked on the beautiful Thames, exercised in the top-class gym and swam in the Olympic-sized pool with saunas and jacuzzi. The complimentary breakfast was impressively comprehensive, with all the usual hot and col options and the surrounding grounds were serene. A perfect location to stay during the Wimbledon tennis tournament and they even had a large screen in the gardens where we could relax with a drink from the nearby bar in the shade of ancient poplar trees whilst watching the tennis. My only criticism is that, at the time of writing July’26 there were refurbishment works to the 3rd floor rooms and this caused us significant disturbance with workman banging doors from 8am, drilling and sawing. We were made aware of the refurbishment works at the hotel beforehand, but had not expected them to be quite so disturbing, especially since our room, 331, adjoined what can only be described as a makeshift tool room, so the drilling, sawing and door-banging was relentless. Luckily the hotel facilities made up for this in part and were so good that we didnt feel too aggrieved. I would recommend the hotel by just avoid room 331 for the next couple of months!

Room was large and clean and had obviously recently been updated. Was surprised however, given how hot it has been that no complimentary water was provided which is something most hotels provide no matter the weather. Also for such a large deluxe room, the bathroom. Consisted of a bath with a shower over which was actually ok for me being under 5ft, however, for my partner who is 6ft plus, this was not at all practical, particularly when it couldn't be adjusted. Staff were very sympathetic and did offer a room change that had a walk in shower, however, this room was not as nice and considerably smaller so we instead accepted a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and a later checkout. Room options should state what facilities you'll get when booked through a 3rd party. Our room option included breakfast but as we were attending Wimbledon opted for an early breakfast but had very little as we were due to have an early lunch at Wimbledon. We were disappointed on the second morning that there was no room to accommodate us for breakfast in the Dunbar Bar so we along with other guests were directed to another area with only a buffet breakfast available, which was not great as the food was luke warm, overcooked and the bacon inedible, one guest said the food was cold and walked out. We understand the difficulties as the hotel is undergoing renovations, however it was clear that us and other guests were not happy either. Hopefully once renovations are completed it will improve.

Our second stay at the Lensbury and this time it was so much better! Last time we were in the Ascot part, which seemed dated and run down as well as dirty. The shower over flowed and the drain wasn’t working. This time we were in the main building, in a refurbished room. It was absolutely gorgeous in comparison to last year! The hotel is being renovated so the main restaurant was closed and there was a temporary reception. The grounds are gorgeous, and this year there was an outdoor tv screen showing tennis which we loved. Hopefully it will be there next year too as it was lovely to sit out watching Wimbledon. There were lots of families enjoying the grounds and playing games. Lovely atmosphere. There are a couple of pubs close by for food and drinks. And it’s a short walk to a high street which has restaurants, coffee shops and an m&s etc. great location and lovely hotel. Hopefully the rest of the upgrades will be done soon, as the dated areas do let it down a bit, and you shouldn’t really have to be paying extra for “deluxe” rooms when all they’ve done is refurbished the tatty older ones!

It was disappointing that aircon was broken nd fans were very loud and didn’t do a great job. No hot water for shower the next day… rang down to get it fixed told shower was working but couldn’t get hot tsp in sink to work so would need to come back later in the day ( was leaving that day so no good to us) went back in shower but hot water was barely hot. Booked bread fast for 6 people as we had two rooms and was informed we needed to book a time slot so even though we booked we couldn’t get a table together

Staff was incredibly helpful and kind. I had a lovely room and enjoyed my stay. The grounds are full of old growth trees and I loved spending the twilight hours among them!

The place was a bit of a shambles. As of July 2026, extensive building work is being done and the drilling above my bedroom started at 8am and didn’t stop. I asked for my room to be moved… that didn’t happen. I’d already been given a disabled room with two single beds, when I’d requested a regular room with one double bed. The staff are trying their best, but everything feels chaotic and disorganised, with empty laundry trollies randomly in the lift and orange bollards all over the place. The restaurant and restaurant staff are lovely.

Enjoyed our stay. Used it as our accommodation to visit Wimbledon tennis (as a did a few other guests) as it's under 30 mins away (even with the 20mph zone!). Friendly staff everywhere. Bar currently being renovated/redecorated, so using members bar (for breakfast too). Nice breakfasts (cooked to order). Stayed in Ascot room which is separate from main building but fine. Plenty of parking and easy walk into Teddington if you want: nice, safe, quiet area.

Great property for those visiting Wimbledon. Only criticism is that the newly renovated room I had had a huge bathroom but the smallest bath and a shower you had to crouch under. I am 5ft 9 so anyone over 6 ft will have real issue. Need a large walk in shower

5 star facilities, 2 star rooms. Everything is very aged. Our room was tiny with old mediocre furniture. Definitely not 4 star.

The room was huge ,we had two double beds with a sofa between us ,the bathroom had a large shower cubicle and a bath with a shower, plenty of tea and coffee,bottled water in the fridge a kettle and a coffee machine,that's just the room all the other things outside in the grounds are amazing ,the place was going through a refit we saw into a room they even pulled up the floorboards.

Stayed with young child. Room wasn’t available but front hostess was more than helpful with checking bags into secure area so we could get to rugby. Room was eco room spacious large shower and Tv bed was comfy and air conditioning was flawless durning the heat wave. Issues in the restaurant where after ordering food and drinks we were both waiting 30mins for drinks. My meal only a burger took an hour and when it came out was cold. No staff seemed interested in offering further drinks. Restaurant wasn’t particularly busy where it took almost 2 hours to be served a one courses meal one drink i ordered didn’t show up very very poor service in restaurant.

Very pleasant ground to play tennis and use of swimming pool and gym free of charge for guests

The refurbishing of this hotel is still in progress, therefore it is a bit noisy as construction starts around 7:30 a.m.. There is presently only one small bar/restaurant available for members and hotel guests for breakfast, lunch/dinner/drinks and it is overcrowded in the morning, and doesn't stay open longer to assist hotel guests (there are some pubs/restaurants nearby). Majority of staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

Deluxe room was fab, bed hard, shower superb, breakfast very good.

The hotel is currently being refurbished. The air conditioning is not working in the bedrooms and then restaurant is closed to refurbishment. I would avoid until the refurbishment is completed.

Lots of parking (included in price) which is a rarity on London! Helpful staff. Great breakfast options in lovely newly refurbished dining room. Room was basically decorated but had working fridge and amazingly powerful shower!
