I booked this hotel on the spur of the moment as I needed a stop over on business. It exceeded all expectations. The hotel has a lovely relaxed vibe about it. The rooms and corridors are all spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great and I had a lovely room. I will definitely return.

Stayed 2 nights enjoyed evening meals and breakfasts - chosen as a base for visiting Wakefield Barbara Hepworth gallery and Yorkshire Sculpture Park easily accessed and comfortable base.

Fantastic breakfast, stunning area! Staff where friendly and helpful.

The staff were very friendly. The food was very nice and the restaurants furnishings were beautiful however the bedroom felt dated and could do with some tlc.

Room was ok . Dull dark decor and v small television. Table light worked but wonky and carpet threadbare in some areas . Clean . Check in was not very welcoming , lady seemed rushed and no pleasantries . Asked for more milk which didn’t get . Meal in the evening was good . Sticky toffee sauce was more like weak caramel. Decided not to stay the night so returned home so can’t comment on breakfast. Staff serving meal v good .

Property was clean however staff could have been more helpful. They wouldn’t let our group of 5 sit together at breakfast although there was an available table because they didn’t want to reset it for lunch.

Room was cleaned and turned down every day, everything was spotless, and the food was amazing

Room was very clean staff were very accommodating.

Lovely room and shower. Some minor niggles regarding breakfast where we had to ask for salt and pepper and butter for the toast and weren’t offered fruit juice on the first of two mornings. Also no preserves for the toast. Waiter on our second morning lacked the personal touch, abruptly showing us to our table with no conversation or enquiries as to whether we’d had a good night. Otherwise a lovely place to stay with an excellent evening meal of high quality.

Rooms clean staff very friendly food was tasty and three swords beer was very good.. we went to the spa as well and got stones massage was superb couldn't fault the place.

Room was dated and the room was in the loft space with old furniture. Staff was not that happy upon arrival and there was broken lamps and sink in the room.

Room was stunning and had heating so was very nice ans cosy. The bathroom was a great size and had shampoos and the rest. I will definitely be staying again.
