What really needs improvement is probably the hospitality, it's not bad actually, but it's still inferior to other 5-star chain hotels. The lobby entrance is often empty with no security (indeed, there's no security waiting area like other hotels). So when we got home, two cars stopped in front of the entrance, and the drivers were nowhere to be found, blocking us from putting our luggage in when checking out. This kind of thing could have been avoided if there was someone standing by. Even though the traffic wasn't busy. It felt like there was a queue at check-in, even though it wasn't busy, you can imagine it being peak season (like NYE). The Kids Club also seemed unsupervised. On our last day, we played from breakfast until 2 PM, and there was no one guarding us, only a few officers came in, not knowing what they were doing. The food was really good (we only tried breakfast), Indonesian dishes like beef curry and mawut fried rice were delicious. If the location is good, if you want to eat, you can just walk to Metropole, and you can also sample the culinary delights in the Menteng area. Oh yeah, I booked a guest room yesterday, and it turned out there was a connecting door. You could really hear the sounds from the next room, even sneezing. Sounds from outside are fine, though.
