We were extremely disappointed having paid $600 for a 2 night stay in what was described as a superior sea view room. There was nothing superior about the room, the decor was tired, holes had been filled in the wall and had not been sanded and repainted. The wind whistled through the window. The water was not replenished on the 2nd day. Some of the staff were disinterested. The lift only services part of the hotel so you may have to carry luggage a few flights of stairs. The breakfast was nice was unfortunately is the only positive thing I can say. I stay in hotels a lot and this was the most disappointed I have been in a long time. I would not recommend staying here.

Excellent breakfast

Excellent and friendly staff. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice. Bar was well stocked. Had a great room looking out over the sea. Very clean. Wi-fi throughout hotel was excellent. As it was my birthday the staff gave that extra bit to make our stay special. Would definitely return but would opt for the balcony rooms on the top floor.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Helpful staff, good breakfast, very conveniently situated just across the road from the beach and prom. Lovely room with superb view. Close to facilities, theatre and convenient for buses to Exeter and Sidmouth. Recommend

Wonderful breakfast!

We found the hotel perfectly dog friendly and appreciated being able to get breakfast in the large room adjoining the restaurant.The garden was good for short walks,as was Manor gardens across the road from the car park.

Everything was all good, there was some decoration issues with the bathroom, and parking was £6 a night additional

Very good evening meal, food was excellent with a reasonable choice of dishes, we had a sea view which was lovely with a little balcony. Hotel is quite tired, but comfortable and the staff are amazing and a superb location with plenty of parking which you have to pay extra for.

Definetely pet friendly , staff friendly , relaxing bar area , lovely views , huge park & gardens be lovely in summer . Big easy car park Bathroom modern

I had a superior king room with a sea view. The room was nicely decorated and was clean and quite spacious and had a decent size TV. The shower was adequate but not of a superior standard. The bed was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep - which is the main thing.
