Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was central to all the sites. Tons of restaurants, pubs, bakeries, and coffee shops within walking distance. Grocery store next door made getting water and snacks easy and affordable. Would definitely stay at this hotel again. Only negative comment is that one of the lifts was not working so you sometimes had to wait quite a bit if you had luggage. This was really only an issue during checkout time.

The check in was awful. We were given a standard twin when I’d booked a superior king room. I had to go back down to reception to let them know as you can’t contact reception from the phone in the room. The receptionist didn’t even offer an apology, she called her manager and then gave me the room I’d booked, no explanation or apology was offered. She also said we had no breakfast included which we did and she then updated the booking. The barman in the bar didn’t know how to pour a pint of Guinness. Next day a false fire alarm went off at 06.30 am (Sunday morning). Not what you’d expect from a Hilton after having paid £360 for one night. Definitely not worth that money. The hotel itself is fine. Breakfast service was good and other staff we encountered were ok.

Dear Hilton DoubleTree Team, I wanted to take a moment to thank your team for a warm and welcoming stay. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and the staff were friendly and professional throughout. I also truly appreciated the thoughtful surprise arranged in the room for my wife’s birthday, it made the experience feel very special. However, I did want to share some feedback so it can be reviewed for future improvement. Unfortunately, the coffee machine’s water holder was damaged and leaked onto my laptop and important papers, which was inconvenient. There was also a persistent mechanical or lift noise during the night, and a car revving outside in the early hours that made it difficult to rest. Additionally, the shower head was loose and kept detaching from the pipe. I wanted to highlight these points not as complaints, but as feedback from a loyal Hilton guest who genuinely enjoys your hotels and the great service you’re known for. We always choose Hilton DoubleTree for special occasions because of the reliability and comfort it offers, and I’d love to continue doing so. Given the issues experienced during this stay, I would really appreciate it if you could consider a goodwill gesture or discount toward a future visit. We’d love the opportunity to return and experience the stay as it’s meant to be — relaxed, comfortable, and worry free. I checked in online and downloaded the digital room key. Unfortunately, this did not enable the lights to be activated and a card was required for this. Having got a card the digital key was never used. The card did not operate the lights when we got back to the room and a member of staff had to come and fix the light switch. we certainly enjoyed our cup of tea after 3 trips to reception up and down the stairs to the 2nd floor! It was good for the step count and fitness regime... When I ordered drinks at the bar to be charged to our room I had to go back again to reception as my card had not been added to my account. Perhaps all of these issues could be solved by having a checklist of questions when someone checks in. Our room was clean but only got serviced once, the day before we left, during our stay. It was very hot and we were unable to turn down the heating. Leaving the window open did not help, it just made it warmer, logically this made sense as the heating worked harder to heat the cooling room! Having said all that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the restaurant staff and bar staff.

This should be a 4 star review for the property’s positives are the most important: great location near center of town, comfortable bed, and decent breakfast. However some facility issues, no phone service, jammed shower door, and broken window, plus poor dining room service and inconsistent maid service, leave this at a three star. These are easily fixable issues under a more careful eye, so I don’t want to be too negative. Overall good value and worth a stay, despite minor drawbacks.

A very warm welcome when we checked in. Nice room, great showers and lovely lobby. Some not so great things, you must pre-buy breakfast. You can order room service the night before. Coffee shops don't open early so you are on your own if you are an early riser. Overall we had a good stay.

Great location, close to Bath town centre and right next to two parking lots and supermarket! Staff were friendly and the room condition needed a bit TLC. The fridge broke and hair drier were broken, and bathroom sink was blocked. It's a functional hotel with great location.

Clean, comfortable and close to shops and other amenities. Parking was available at the local supermarket but expensive. Room heating system didn’t seem to be working and it was a cold, wet, rainy day & night. No extra blankets in the room so put on extra clothing. Check in was not until 4pm so would advise not to arrive before. There was no offer of an early check-in although one could leave one’s bags.
