Everything is wonderful at Hotel Tokai. The staff are the most wonderful people. Their services are excellent. The room is always clean. Beds are very comfortable and clean. Tokai Hotel is at walking distance from Hon-atsugi station, stores and restaurants are nearby. The hotel is very clean and felt very safe. Every staff is very nice, friendly, and made us very comfortable to be there. Free breakfast was perfect amount to start the day.

We traveled around Japan for 2 weeks, and this was by far our favorite hotel. The room was large by Japanese standards, with a small loveseat and table, and plenty of room to open suitcases. Everything was clean and comfortable. The lobby is very small as was the breakfast area. (2 tables) The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was basically breads, a couple of cereals, and a few dumplings that you could take back to your room, but it was enough to start the day. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Tohkai and would stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

If you are young and healthy, this hotel might be a good choice. But for a disabled person like me, it was not accommodating at all: no elevator but only stairs between the parking garage in the basement and the front desk on the 1st floor; the stairs are pretty steep and no rails; no rails at the toilet seat in the room; the elevator door closes too soon, etc etc. I brought both a wheelchair and a walker with me from the US and it was a very difficult stay for 8 days at this hotel.

My wife and I stayed here for one night on our way back to Yokosuka from Mount Oyama. The hotel was very close to Hon-Atsugi train station and had a very low price. The room was very large for a Japanese hotel, especially considering the low cost, and even had a couch with table to eat at! They had a free breakfast (which was pretty bare bones but good!) which was very nice and even gave us some coupons upon arrival that gave 2,000 yen off purchases for local products. Highly recommend if making a stop in the area!

Convenient location with airport shuttle just a few minutes walk from the hotel and major train stop nearby. Large shopping malls close to hotel. Friendly staff but some may speak limited English. Rooms in good condition and clean. An enjoyable stay overall.

The room is clean and spacious. However, when I stepped in the room, I thought it's a smoking room. Luckily the window can be opened and after a while the smell gone. Also, the soundproofing is not good and I can hear people talking next door. The izakaya next to the hotel is really good!

Was reluctant to book this hotel but happy that I did. The beds are very comfortable and the comforter and cover are quality. Hallways need air conditioning in the summertime as they are unbearably hot and humid. Rooms are comfortable with the ac unit.

This hotel has a biggest room in the budget price (under 10,000YEN) for my 10 years experience business trip in Japan. There are everything you need to stay here with happiness such as many kinds of pillow you can choose, free hydrogen water at the lobby(can refill your own bottle), Manga shelfs, stream iron etc. If this hotel can only improve breakafast menu to have japanese style food too, will be a perfect hotel. If i go to Hon-Atsugi again, i absoluely stay here. C.Padet
