It is not everyday that you come across a hotel like the Queens Hotel. From the minute you walk in you are greeted by the wonderful staff and lovely surroundings. We stayed for three days and wished we could have stayed longer.

Nice hotel. Quite expensive. My TV was broken so could not watch TV for the 3 nights I was there. Some cobwebs in the bathroom. But overall I enjoyed my stay and would stay again if I was going again for one night.

Great bed good breakfast

Location was great - walkable distance to restaurants and shops. Breakfast was good. Limited on site leisure options (e.g. no pool). Also would have been better if there wasn't a daily charge for the onsite parking - I might expect this for a 3 star or less hotel, but not a 4 star.

I was not told that there was a separate car park for the hotel round the back whenni arrived! The night guy just took my money! Had a ticket in the morning as i was leaving Breakfast was expensive bacon was hard as nails, like it had been cooked for hours! Hotel is lovely and in a great location. I am a regular visitor here. However the quality of customer service and breakfast quality has noticibly reduced since the last time i came

Only stayed a night but everything grear

I found this hotel to be very basic. Awful pillows, staff were friendly and they tried to keep the inside clean. The rooms are old tired and not comfortable.

Staff are superb, very helpful and friendly particularly J@ck on the front desk. Location is perfect for central Cheltenham with excellent parking. Rooms are really smart, very comfortable beds with excellent linens. The only small minus is shower water pressure is low, but the bathrooms themselves are very smart and well presented. My go to place in Cheltenham and can sometimes be had at really excellent room rates that make it an obvious first choice.

Great experience in a stunning hotel in the middle of the city centre. Room was spacious and clean, with a great style and superb selection of bathroom products. The view from the hotel (the square in front) was great and the overall vibe across the facility is elegant yet approachable.

With one notable exception, this is a wonderful hotel in a superb location. The aroma of smelly drains in the lobby area and elevator, dampens the celebratory mood the rest of this venue.

Great hotel. Friendly helpful staff, good restaurant, great location. Cleanliness generally OK although vacuuming of bedroom left a lot to be desired.

Our room smelt like sewage. We reported this to reception and they sent housekeeping. The woman who came told us we were wrong, the room didn't smell, it was coming from outside and we should put the bathroom extractor on to get rid of the smell. The extractor didn't work - said they'd call maintenance, who never came. We closed the window and put the air con on while we went out to try and lessen the smell (as we had been told it was from outside). After a few hours we returned and the room smelt even more, so definitely not from outside (also we had been outside and the air did not smell like sewage). We asked about switching to another room and were told there were none so we had to get on with it and ignore the smell. Eventually after we suggested that this was not good enough we were offered free breakfast, a £28 refund and comped parking. Breakfast was disappointing: we had to wait to get breakfast, when we were allowed in the staff seemed stressed and inattentive, the food was bang average (saddest poached egg I've ever seen) and I would have been sorely disappointed had we paid £20pp for that food and service. We will not be returning.
