Surprised, me and my wife booked as we had to stay unexpectedly for the weekend & was expecting a tired worn hotel and found an absolute gem, friendly helpful staff fantastic building and a wonderful large corner room with views to front and side, it's well maintained and very clean, I will definitely book again when I come down on business instead of staying in the more modern hotels with no character

Beautiful and elegant hotel with incredibly lovely staff. Stayed a couple of nights for victorious festival and we had an unbelievable view of the main stage - such a bonus. Would absolutely come back - especially for the breakfast and fantastic cocktails.

Great location, just by the seafront in Southsea. Very close to the eclectic Southsea centre with it's many restaurants & bars. A great place to stay to explore the wider area. Right on the bus route as well so very easy access to Gunwharf Quay & the old naval museum with the Mary Rose, which is a must visit if you haven't done it already. If you do stay at the hotel there was a 20% naval museum discount for us curtesy of the Queens hotel.

Clean throughout and well-presented Hotel with well-appointed rooms Our room backed onto Osborne St, so some light noise from surrounding night clubs but nothing too bad, At times Breakfast service was disjointed with different staff attending our table, at least we were not ignored! Shops and tourist attractions within 10-20 minute walk, Bus stop out the front. Definately worth staying when visiting Portsmouth.

I enjoyed my stay but as I'm disabled the access avoiding the steps at the entrance was not obvious but was relatively easy but only revealed at first chat at reception (after negotiating the climb). Once into the building all was fine.

Nice comfortable stay. Only had breakfast one morning which was fine. Evening meals looked expensive but if paying for quality it’s probably worth it.

Reception staff and Lobby very good. Breakfast very disappointing- badly organised, staff clearing the tables whilst still eating - removing tea cups and half finished juice glasses, items not as described on menu

Hotel was nice, staff very friendly and rooms in a nice clean condition. It wasn't noisy at all, which I did worry about as the night I was there a wedding was taking place, but I was pleasantly surprised that there was no noise at all.

Just a one night stay prior to catching the ferry. Amazing building. Comfortable room, on the small side but adequate for one night. Clean and quiet.

The Queens was a beautiful, well kept hotel with a lovely garden. Very clean and in a safe area with shops and restaurants nearby within walking distance. ! I plan on staying in the future.

Such a lovely hotel and the balcony was an added luxury. The steps at the front were a little steep for my elderly mum but she loved everything else.

It's like going back in history to a fabulous bygone era, the hotel oozes charm. Had a great view from the room, looking out to sea. Good for the Ferry and Gun Wharf Quays. Wonderful breakfast in beautiful surroundings. I was very grateful for the prompt call from Reception, informing me I had left some items in the room, upon departure.
