What can I say? This property was 10 out of 10 coming from New York we loved everything about it with the balcony facing room of the water. Staff were super friendly. Food was good when everything in the area was closed down and my massage with Maria was out of this world book your spot ahead of time because it sells out very quickly. Upon arrival there’s no openings

We loved our stay here. Amazing food, nice staff, great big rooms. The only downside is that we were put into an accessible room when we didn’t need it so the toilet and shower were not very comfortable. Parking gets very busy in the afternoon-evening

Very pleasant across the board.

The hotel had lovely decor and the public areas were always clean. The breakfast and dinner buffet was exceptional: a great choice and high quality foods. The room was very comfortable, and quiet at night. The staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi was good throughout. The pool bar served lovely drinks at a reasonable price. My only negative comment would be that the room surfaces and floors were a little dusty even after the room had been cleaned. Everything else was excellent and I would stay here again.

Hotel was beautiful and the breakfast was outstanding so was the view of the city. We enjoyed the spa area and pool bar. Pool water was a little chilly but otherwise lovely. Would recommend this hotel

I didn't like that it was not walkable for someone with arthritis. We couldn't make a reservation for the rooftop dining experience, so had limited food options. Although, the buffet food was very good. The fruit left as a welcome gift should have been refreshed. Also, the pool area needs to be updated with new cushions, the existing ones were very soiled. Lidia was very warm and welcoming.

We stayed here for about a week and it was a lovely stay. Super relaxing and overall great service.

My partner and I stayed at The Views Baía Hotel from Saturday, 10 May to Thursday, 15 May, and while the hotel had several positive aspects, a number of avoidable shortcomings prevented our experience from being truly memorable. Unfortunately, our stay got off to a poor start. Upon arriving, we were greeted with a blunt “Passports” from the front desk staff, with little to no further conversation apart from a brief mention of the visitor tax and the optional no-cleaning policy. I had to prompt questions regarding things like hotel parking, and overall, the interaction felt cold and transactional. A smile or even a “welcome” after a long day of travel would have gone a long way. Sadly, the check-out experience was almost identical—no inquiry about our stay or any farewell, just a bill and a goodbye. There were a few puzzling service moments during our stay. When we asked for an iron and ironing board, we were told that a single iron was available—but only in a service room on the 3rd floor of this 11-floor hotel, and it couldn't be brought to the room. Another odd instance involved a staff member knocking repeatedly just to hand over a single wrapped chocolate—nice idea, but a little overbearing in delivery. The Views Baía has potential—it’s well-situated, the facilities are modern, and the “no cleaning” discount was a unique perk. However, the lack of warmth in service, combined with a few service and comfort issues, kept this from being the relaxing and special stay. 3/5

Great view and room for the price. Exceeded my expectation

The spa is amazing! Definitely make use of it - we only stayed one night at the end of our holiday and it was perfect to relax in the pool, sauna area and gym

Fabulous adults only hotel. Super friendly with a green eco approach with cleaning the rooms, towels etc. We enjoyed buffet breakfast style restaurant with menu options too. The Michelin restaurant Desarma was the best experience, we added the wine flight to complete a special Birthday for my partner. It was a tad Nicer than The William restaurant at the Belmond Hotel. My score 4 stars for cleaning only because the windows were bit dirty and the floor around the windows where the tables are was quite dusty. Easy to walk down to town although up hill coming back, but do able. Taxis plentiful everywhere.

A great 3 night stay. We loved the location - super views but very easy to walk into the town to explore! We were able to park our car on site too which was a real bonus. Our room was clean comfortable and we had a lovely view of the port. We enjoyed the pool and terrace on our last day. One suggestion and that's for more information to be given on the Spa facilities. We thought they were great but sadly only found out about them at the very end of our stay. I have to mention the breakfast buffet. It was amazing. So much choice, catering for all tastes with great staff too If we returned to Funchal we would definitely stay here.

Can’t recommend enough - the location is fantastic (despite the uphill walk on the way back from town) for visiting, the rooms are super spacious and clean, the breakfast has a good range of options and price wise it’s such good value for money. Above all though, the staff genuinely care and will go above and beyond to help - I want to give a special shout out to “Andreia” who really helped my family and I out on several occasions, it seems she works all hours because she’s always at the desk! I hope she sees this because she was truly wonderful at her job and didn’t care we asked so many questions! No need to look elsewhere, you can book this hotel and I promise you’ll be pleased.
