The best hotel in Samarinda is Fugo

Overall everything was impressive, good and nice, unfortunately the security guard was much friendlier than the receptionist, thanks fugo!

Stayed 3 nights in Fugo Hotel Samarinda and i don’t have any issue with the room and the FnBs actually, but I am REALLY insulted with the behavior of one of their staff in the hotel lobby. They provided a Yamaha baby grand in the lobby which can be played by “a professional”. I played it on my first night and got no issue, but on Saturday, their staff approached me and told me that the piano just can be played by a “professional” and asked me if I was a professional piano player. For your context, I am classically-trained on piano for 9+ years until pre-conservatory program, so I assume that I could play the piano. After answering that I could professionally play piano, their staff asked for my piano certification, like WHAT FOR DUDE???!!? after I prepared my scanned piano certificate, that staff suddenly disappeared he never existed😂😂 I think That’s not the right way (and it was very rude way) to handle your guest tho, even if your standard told u so. anw, i think u guys need to clean the piano, since u guys never opened the lid (i opened the lid since I know how to “professionally” open a grand piano🤭 Other than that, the hotel is really good and got a nice view over Mahakam River

The hotel's location is convenient to everything, close to shopping centers and next to the Barito River. Excellent and pleasant service.
