From location to the staff and the room, everything is perfect

First thing I noticed when arriving at Crowne Plaza Kunming City Centre is very nice short drive-way direct to the main entrance, under covered. Check-in was smooth and fast. Staff was courteous and helpful, speaking excellent English as well. The room was quite big, with a small balcony. Very clean, comfortable, and well furnished with all the small items found in a luxury hotel. Rooms was serviced and stocked-up everyday. There was an award winning Chinese restaurant on the 4th floor with very nice foods and at a reasonable prices. Service was also excellent. Breakfast and western meal are at 2nd floor - great variety of choices for the buffet breakfast. The location of the hotel was just nice for us, as it is just 300-400m away from a very nice food street and big food court with many many types of choices. It was also very easy to get a taxi or Didi to / from the hotel as they all knew where it is.

Hotel is in the centre of City easy access to most places such as Old St and Kunming Station, very near to a food street & a big "food court" with lots of choices. The Chinese Restaurant at 4th floor is reasonably prices with excellence services and very tasty dishes. Breakfast at 2nd floor is also exceptional with local, tribal, western many choices. The air conditioning in the room is on the warmer side which is a bit uncomfortable, otherwise an exceptional room & great services.

The hotel has big clean rooms with comfy beds. AC works well and double glazed windows keeps sound out. Close to two metro stations, pedestrian streets, restaurants and bars. The breakfast buffet has a large selection of Western and Asian choices, and is so filing you can skip lunch! Some staff speak some littke English, the rest are happy to use a translation app.

This was a great hotel to stay at for a number of reasons. First, it is in a very convenient location: it is only a couple of minutes walk of a subway station. Second, the hotel has self-service washers and dryers that you can use for free. Third, the hotel offers both complimentary high tea and a midnight snack of noodles. My room had a great view, and was very clean and modern. Ms. Beta was also super helpful.

It was a great stay, the place is outdated but the price is good, and it’s in the center of everything, you can find whatever you need. Terrific place.

Very friendly and professional staff. Clean, big and comfortable room. Plenty of retail and F&B options nearby.

The room is clean and spacious. 5 mins walk to Naping Pedestrian Street. Lots of nice restaurants and shopping. We book the room with club lounge. Nice lounge but very little or hardly any food. Breakfast only serve at the main dining area not in club lounge. Room very warm even when set at 15 deg C. Technician could not fix the issue and they provided an air cooler. My friends in another room also faced similar issue. For them the air cooler did not help.

I have stayed at hundred of hotels across the world, this one stood out to me, excellent in every way, highly recommend, it was an A plus experience

This is the worst 5 star hotel i have ever check in. After landing from mid night flight . When i check in the hotel. They gave us a room in which the Aircon doesn’t work.

Front desk service is helpful though it took some time to locate my reservation.Success on linking my separated two bookings is great. Sorry for myself that didn't have time to experience Club treats. Maybe the next time will try. Breakfast is a little too simple compared to other branches. Maybe it's because of the outbreak. Could understand that.

Pretty good location and walking distance to stores and shopping streets. Service is great, but rooms dated and restaurant cleanliness could use improvement. Some rooms also had smoke smell, so had to switch rooms.

Crown Plaza hotel is my first choice hotel.

the hotel have a swimming pool but it was closed during our stay, they din't mention it in hotels.com. housekeeping was not good, poor towels. not clean like a real crowne plaza.
