The AC was dripping all over electrical chargers! unsafe told staff they did nothing about it. had to turn air con off was hot in room. Carpet floor was wet from aircon.

Room was spacious and very fair for the price. Bathroom was very dated and a bit gross. There was no microwave in the room. Staff were fantastic and super friendly

Central location, spacious rooms and great staff. The rooms are dated (especially the bathrooms) but comfortable and clean and amazing value. A lovely welcome on check-in and good tips on surrounds.

There were places to eat and drink nearby and you could walk the city if you wanted or catch transport (which is free if you are a senior, you are given a 2 week pass on trams and buses which helps a lot). I was disappointed in the room, the bedroom I chose and paid many months in advance for was not what we got, we looked directly at the building next door across the laneway, I thought I had booked the room advertised. There was an AFL festival in town and I wonder if our room was given to someone else for a dearer price and we were relegated to something of lesser ambience. The room was clean although small, it was difficult to open and close the curtains, we didn't use the aircon and the fridge had no rail on the door recess so it could not be used with very little space in the fridge itself, a bottle of milk and coke and that was it. Being an older building it's probably difficult to update however the picture advertised was not what we received. There as quite a step up to the ensuite about 8 to 10 inches and we almost fell up and down a couple of times, I figure they put pipework underneath to add the ensuite but there should be something to make it obvious as a trip hazard. Make sure of what you're getting. The manager and other staff were great and offered every assistance to any requirements we had, overall was still disappointed at the room as it was a surprise for my husband, he was surprised alright, nevermind won't be caught again

The bedding was clean, central location, so very noisy, staff were very nice. Hotel is very tired.

Location is good. Easier to say what was good, and it was beds. Thats it!!!! No wardrobe, old bathroom, carpets SUPER DIRTY, etc.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP WELL. Check-in was efficient & friendly. Our "Deluxe" room was on the 3rd floor & fronted onto Hindley Street with almost floor to ceiling windows - & therein lies the problem! The windows are old & in very poor condition. This meant that it was very difficult/impossible to sleep with the degree of noise from traffic, late night revellers, music from bars, bin lorries, street cleaning & hi performance cars/bikes revving their engines excessively. On inspection i found 3 windows that used to open, that had broken latches, but a crude attempt to screw them closed had only partially worked. One window could still be opened too easily for safety (a child could open it & climb/fall out). All 3 were loose, so allowed noise to ingress. Even when pushed firmly shut the noise ingress was only marginally better. The whole window installation is long overdue replacement. Additionally, fixtures & fittings were threadbare/cracked/chipped - but given the price point one MIGHT argue that's just about what you're paying for. The staff were very pleasant. However, the owners need to invest heavily in the property to support them.

The facility is dated, clean and quiet. The receptionist was helpful and friendly. The window air conditioning unit was able to keep up for our space. The water pressure in the shower was excellent but we had no hot water on two of our three mornings. The location is very convenient.

Wonderful location.

The rooms were clean and so was the bathroom It also had a working lock on the door to our room. I also found that the staff were always very friendly
