Friendly staff and very clean and well maintained

Second time staying here. Only reason for not booking direct with property was that we had a voucher to use. Welcome & check in was great. The hotel lobby and common areas smell amazing. It's a beautiful fragrance. Room lovely, appreciate the coffee pod machine. Located great, walked to Darby street cafes and pub. Parking we chose q Argyle Street which is reasonable at $20 per night. Didn't get to the cocktail bar this time but was lovely last stay.

Definitely worth staying here. Great refit of the old brutalist Newcastle Council Chambers into this stylish hotel. Right in the heart of the city, opposite Kings Park, a very short walk to Civic light rail, which takes you to either Newcastle Beach or the heavy rail interchange, access to the waterfront via the old Civic railway station and close to several restaurants, pubs etc. Well trained and friendly staff, nice if compact rooms, comfy bed and breakfast with the best view in Newcastle over the harbour to Nobby's and the Pacific Ocean. Given I spent the first 10 years of my life in Newcastle it was great to walk the area and reminisce though much has changed. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Newcastle and recommend it.

The hotel as a whole was exceptional. Modern, clean, beautiful deco. A little bit fancy, but very affordable. The only catch is that there is no parking on site except for a $50 valet service. The closest undercover parking is at First Parking (11 Argyle St) and it's about a 5 min walk to the hotel.

Can’t fault a single thing!

Very disappointed with this hotel. TV did not work. Tablet rebooted every time placed in docking station despite being powered down. Light & fan in bathroom on auto for 5 minutes even if just walking past & not entering. Very frustrating in middle of night. Needs soundproofing. Despite being on 6th floor we could hear lots of street noise. Very disturbed night. Bar closed at 9pm just as theatre finished. Would not stay again.
