Had a city suite, it was a large spacious room in good conditon. Bathroom had separate shower + bath. Each bed had two different pillows, soft and medium. the soft pillow was amazing, makes such a change to have a nice soft pillow in a hotel

While the location is quite good for those who want something close to the central station and also near the shopping area and the Old town, right outside the hotel can be a bit unsavory, especially at night. The hotel itself is starting to show wear and tear. The AC did not work properly in my room and the water temperature in the shower kept going from cold one second to scalding hot the next. The maintenance person who checked the room temp couldn’t fix it and just pinned it on the hotel being old. The TV remote did not work properly and there were not many channel choices for English speakers. Other than that the room was clean, spacious, and the bed comfortable. At the end of the day, that is what counts. Will I stay here again? Probably not.

We recently stayed at Radisson Blu Astrid Hotel Antwerp and overall had a really great experience. The location is excellent—super convenient for getting around—and the room itself was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Everything from check-in to the facilities met our expectations. However, there was one interaction that left a slightly sour note. When I approached reception to ask for a recommendation on where to have mussels (as it’s something Belgium is well known for), the staff member directed me to a Chinese restaurant instead. I found this response a bit surprising and, if I’m honest, it didn’t sit quite right with me. I may be overthinking it, but it would have been more helpful (and appropriate) to be recommended a local Belgian spot, especially when specifically asking for a traditional dish. That aside, the rest of our stay was lovely, and the hotel itself is a great base for exploring Antwerp.
