I've stayed here a few times and I really enjoy the location for ease of access to many great spots in Edmonton. I also appreciate the parking is usually ample and self serve. The staff are really friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. The parkade is a bit run down but overall great stay for the price!

The staff were great, answered all of our questions. The room was a little dusty. The beds were okay, not super comfortable. The coffee pot had water left in it from a previous guest and didn’t look that clean. The front desk fixed us up with coffee which was great. The parade was handy, there were a few trucks parked in it which made it tight to manoeuvre through the levels. We a light snack as we didn’t have time for dinner. The food was okay and the drinks were great. Overall it was a good stay and would stay again.

The Chateau Lacombe has seen better days. It’s time for a serious update. It was very convenient being downtown and the staff were amazing. We had a beautiful view of the river. Other than that, it was like a cheap motel with an elevator. Rooms are dated, plumbing issues (leaky taps/cold tap would slowly turn down so water became hot) pillows/blankets were cheap, our mini fridge froze our leftovers and no microwave, we weren’t told about the free breakfast, and our towels were clean but stained. I also don’t think guests should pay $25 a day for a dodgy lot as a guest. The staff were very nice and friendly which made up for everything else. I was also surprised the elevator didn’t have security access being downtown. There are better places to stay for the same price. Feel bad for the Chateau - it used to be very nice.

The room was quite noisy due to other guests and or house cleaning maybe not their fault so much as the hotel seems to have poor noise proofing. The ice machine was broken on my floor not a major issue but annoying. My room was perfectly fine other than all the noise from the neighboring suites. The other major annoyance was the additional $25 parking fee. My suggestion would be if the hotel is only partially booked maybe the guests could be spaced out more and maybe housekeeping could be more aware of guests in neighboring rooms or avoid those until the nearby rooms have checked out.

Pros are the location, the river views, the staff and the Bellamy Lounge staff and food. The Cons are the cost of parking and the standard room we had needed updating. The bed was fine, the comfort of the room was great, but the bathroom is very outdated.

River valley view from the room was awesome and we really liked the room. Only advice to others - pay for parking using the Zipstall app. It is much more affordable than paying through the hotel front desk. We had an overnight stay and paid $10 through the app vs $25 quoted at the hotel.
