The Westin Guangzhou

There was a lack of English knowledge by the staff at reception. While the staff took my bag when I exited the taxi at the front of the hotel, they did not automatically deliver the bag to my room. Very disappointing.

I am having a business trip to Guangzhou and believed my trust on Westin as I have been Westin's loyal patron for quite a while. The lobby is nice with wonderful artificial scent, which I liked, however, I don't know what is wrong with the Concierge service. I went to their counter for the first time for a small paper bag with hotel logo, yet the staff, after understanding what I needed, left me there alone without offering any help and second time, I was there to get a room card as mine was locked inside of my room. Again, without any substantial assistance, I was redirected to the front desk. In my understanding, Concierge is where patrons get help, rather than getting redirecting to other staff. It should never be serving as a relay station. It is obviously not matching the stars of Westin and it made its patrons feel bad and helpless.

Two nights of staying… not exactly near subway station but just five minutes walk. Staff service is above average. Neighborhood is relatively quiet, with basic essentials… Family Mart, Starbucks, Luckin Coffee, KFC, McDonald all within 1 to 3 mins walk. Local congee and rice roll store is about 10 mins walk into the residential neighborhood.

I had an excellent stay at The Westin Guangzhou. The overall experience exceeded expectations in every aspect. The room was spacious, clean, and very well maintained, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment after a long day. The breakfast selection was outstanding, with a wide variety of high-quality options to suit different tastes. What truly stood out was the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff. Every interaction was handled with care and efficiency, making the stay smooth and enjoyable from check-in to departure. Overall, the service was exceptional, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Guangzhou. I look forward to staying here again.

While the customer service was good and the room was spacious, the hotel itself, room interiors felt quite dated. Overall, the experience was slightly below expectations.

The location is excellent. 20 minutes walk to the major shopping mall and 15 minutes to the Guangzhou East Railway Station. Room is quite spacious.

At the reception, there was this employee Kingsley absolutely the best. The bell boys and others were also very kind and helpful. Definitely will go back again

The room was great and the staff was even better. The only place to stay in Guangzhou.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it easy to relax. Housekeeping did an excellent job, and the laundry service was truly impeccable. The only downside was the breakfast buffet—options were sometimes limited for vegetarians who do not eat eggs. Aside from that, it was a very pleasant stay and I would recommend the hotel
