Didn’t park or have the breakfast but rooms were clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful and it was a good location . Would definitely recommend

What a fabulous hotel?! From the moment we arrived, we loved our stay! The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The hotel reception area is decorated to a high standard with a quirky twist. Our room was gorgeous and had everything we needed. Breakfast was one of the best breakfast buffets we have ever had.. and we have had a lot!!! We are telling everyone about this hotel and already planning our return visit! Thank you to all the staff

Nice place to stay in Chester. The only issue is parking, specifically there is no reserved park for the duration of your stay. There are some spaces on a first come, first served basis, but if you leave you might not get a space when you return. I used the justpark car park opposite the Main Train station...7 min walk, but you can come and go as you please.

Breakfast great, room clean, hotel decor excellent, bar games a real plus

We chose the Moxy Chester because we're LGBTQIA+ travelers and were told by a local that we'd be very welcome there. It was true. From front desk to housekeeping, the whole staff was welcoming and kind; in particular, we want to give a shout-out especially to Lauren, Richard, and Ilia! The buffet breakfast was excellent, and we really appreciated the vegetarian options. If ever we are back in Chester, we'll definitely stay there again.

When we arrived on a Saturday late afternoon, it was like entering a nightclub. There was a wedding with an open DJ above the bar area. It was so loud you couldn’t easily hear the staff. When in our room, the music was booming through. We asked to move to another room and they were able to facilitate this. Staff were polite and helpful. The room itself was good; a small but functional bathroom, very comfy bed and good blackout blinds. The window needed a lot of adjustment to close it which took a long time but eventually was shut. Nice to have windows that actually open though. Breakfast was as expected. Quite a good range of food but juices were sub standard, more like a weak squash than a juice. Overall, we slept fairly well and the room was fine but entering a hotel and feeling like you were in a club meant we didn’t want to have a drink at the bar or stay downstairs at all. This may have been a very different experience on a different day.

Great hotel, clean, lovely communal areas and great bedroom. The music on entering the hotel was extremely loud due to a wedding party, so loud we couldn’t hear the member or staff on check in. Luckily this didn’t affect us as we were out all evening but had we planned to stay in the hotel, this would have been an issue

Room very comfortable, impeccably clean. Hotel quiet, great location on canal towpath, short walk into town, Lovely bar, Harkers, two minutes walk along canal.

Great location on a canal, very close to the railway station, and bars , restaurants in the city centre. Clean comfortable room and a great bathroom with a walk-in shower. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good, large selection of food to choose from . Would return, and recommend .

Quiet and comfy room, by the canal about 15 mins walk from the centre of Chester. Good selection at breakfast. Slight negative was I followed the parking directions given to park at station only to then walk to hotel and find there was parking directly outside (same price too).
