We had a wonderful weekend stay at St John’s Croft. Gorgeous historic property set in beautiful grounds. The room was quirky, comfortable and spacious. Comfy bed, lovely cotton sheets and plenty of seating. The view from the room looked over a lovely garden. Facilities included the room included a sink, a kettle and ability to make tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Separate bathroom with a toilet, shower and sink. Slightly dated but did the job. The breakfast window was a little narrow- 8.30-9.30am, even at the weekend. We nearly missed it but the owner was great and rustled something up for us! Breakfast itself was great- fruit/ yoghurt/cereals and toast plus the option of eggs and either bacon/smoked salmon. Freshly cooked on an aga and very yummy. The B and B is well located on a quiet road only a short walk into the city centre. Parking is off street. A family run business, the owners were engaging and super helpful. Overall a very good experience.

Just awesome. Loved the rooms with the big windows, loved the hosts, awesome breakfast. Very helpful-for example we arrived early before our room was ready. They let us leave our luggage come in and out. Use the bathroom whatever we need until the room is ready.

Absolutely fantastic place! I felt like a princess 👑 Super peaceful, very clean, amazing staff and delicious breakfast 🍳 Very convenient location in an amazing and beautiful house with amazing gardens! Can't wait to come back!

Excellent location. Beautiful place. Such kind hosts. Great accommodation. My room was upstairs. The view was beautiful. The whole place is amazing. My only complaint is that my kitchen isn’t as stunning as theirs. All around amazing is all I can say.

Absolutely superb place to stay and amazing hosts. Excellently located to stroll into Winchester. Parking available and Dotty couldn’t do enough for us, whilst giving us space to chill. Superb breakfast cooked to order too. Highly recommended

We had a lovely stay at St John’s Croft, it was everything we hoped for - perfectly situated for Winchester in a tranquil and picturesque setting. Our breakfast was lovely and our hosts were very welcoming and had thought of everything. We will definitely be back!

We felt very welcomed by Dotty. The property is very central and super convenient. The room was very spacious and with a lovely view into the beautiful garden. Toilet is private but not ensuite. I enjoyed the breakfast chatting to other guests in the kitchen. It felt very human and connecting. Thanks Dotty we will visit again.

Our stay was for a couple of days to attend a Wedding in Winchester. St John’s Croft is ideally placed within 5 minutes easy walk of the town centre, with on site parking at the property. The property is a lovely grand farmhouse, in a very quiet raised spot, considering how close it is to everything. The property has a lovey, relaxed, arty/boho feel to it, with a warm atmosphere. Our room had a large double and single daybed, two very comfortable armchairs, coffee table, lots of side lamps and a TV. A good powerful shower in our private bathroom, with lots of hot water was most welcome. Dotty cooked us a marvellous breakfast around a large communal kitchen table by the AGA. I would more than happily stay here again. Thank you.

Room was absolutely lovely, very homely and Dotty made us feel very welcome. We felt like we were at an old friends house for breakfast the next morning, it's a beautiful kitchen/dining area and Dotty made the best scrambled eggs. Would highly recommend.

The accommodation was absolutely beautiful. Greeted by the lovely Rosie, she made us feel very welcome. Had a lovely breakfast cooked fresh with plenty of options. The room was very nice and over looked the beautiful garden. Perfect location, only 5 mins into the local town. Would definitely stay again.

Dotty was at the property when we arrived and showed us our rooms. The rooms were lovely, big and had everything that was needed, hairdryer and robes included. The shower room was big, had toiletries and the towels were nice and fluffy. The whole building was fantastic and is a lovely home. Dotty was very informative and friendly making you feel like part of the family. The property was only a short walk from town and has parking. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and set us up for the day. I would definitely recommend this property and will definitely stay again.
